Lesson two: Accept

- So our first step in ABC is accept. What does it mean to accept? It's not a mental exercise solely. No, it's much more about body and emotion. When we accept something, we get into the body. We ground ourselves first, and then without judgment, with just curiosity, we move through the body, we find those places of density, of rigidity, where stress lives and instead of pushing them away and intensifying it, we open up to it, we relax down into it. When we soften into it the stress comes off. That's what it is to accept. It means to welcome fully the experience of what is as it is. And remember that experience will be sensational in the body, meaning experiential. Perhaps it's heavy, perhaps it's light, dense or porous, fast or slow, hot or cold, painful, pleasurable or numb, welcome it all as it is and know that as you do that you're welcoming life. (soothing tones)
