Are you working where you want to?
As of August 2023, over half of U.S. employees work mostly onsite, a quarter work remotely and only 18% are working on a hybrid schedule. If employees could choose their work location, that breakdown would look slightly different, with many opting for more flexibility. [https://lnkd.in/gaVwHd7P]
Most Americans, however, are working in the manner they prefer, according to LinkedIn’s latest Workforce Confidence survey. For 6 in 10 Americans, where they 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 is also where they 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘦𝘳 to work.
The majority of those working remotely (68%) prefer to do so. About 22% of remote workers would like a more hybrid schedule, while a mere 9% would rather work onsite. For hybrid employees, 60% are 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 in their desired work environment, while 39% want a more concrete schedule, either mainly onsite or remote.
Meanwhile, most employees working onsite (61%) also prefer doing so. Research shows these workers may enjoy increased camaraderie and better opportunities to develop professionally.
But that doesn’t mean everybody is happy about companies increasingly implementing return-to-office policies. About 37% of onsite employees would prefer a little flexibility, either working a hybrid or remote schedule. [https://lnkd.in/gT32Sj_S]

I love a hybrid environment. It's great to have opportunity to collaborate with your team in person, however, I think that creating opportunity to work from home part of the week increases your work-life balance opportunities, and creates a better sense of independence and ownership in your work.
