DCTs paved the way for more accessible trials, but they came with their own challenges. Satellite sites offer a similar clinical trial model, combining the ease of DCTs with the trust and top medical care that only medical centers can inspire. The result? Better patient access, stronger data integrity, and faster enrollment. Thank you Applied Clinical Trials Magazine for helping to open the discussion about how we can use satellite sites to expand patient access, enrollment, and compliance.
Decentralized Clinical Trials (DCTs) demonstrated that the traditional clinical trial model can adapt to new methods, making participation more accessible and convenient. However, while they offered great potential, they have fallen short of their ultimate goal of revolutionizing clinical trials. Five years after the rise of DCT, satellite clinical trial sites offer a more efficient approach that blends DCT accessibility with the advantages of traditional trials. Specifically, the satellite site model combines better patient access, stronger data integrity, and faster enrollment, all while leveraging the trust that patients place in established medical centers. Read this full article to find out why Yonalink CEO Iddo Peleg expects the satellite site model to be one of the next big changes to the clinical trial landscape. #ClinicalTrials #Innovation #HealthTech https://lnkd.in/ejypJnNY

Our Clinical Practice Gaps study* revealed that 64% of potentially eligible patients are lost due to gaps in clinical practice. A significant factor is the low prevalence of biomarker testing, often linked to a lack of physician awareness. Real-time, data-driven physician engagement is critical for closing these gaps and ensuring eligible patients receive appropriate biomarker testing and treatments. Our recent ASCO poster highlighted that 33% of selected physicians were successfully engaged through a DXRX Physician Engage outreach campaign, identifying 81 new therapy-eligible who might have otherwise been overlooked in routine clinical practice. DXRX Physician Engage leverages our direct-from-lab data from over 500 US labs to pinpoint and engage relevant physicians in as little as 24 hours post biomarker testing. Our in-house precision medicine content writers create tailored educational messages to engage your target physicians, increasing biomarker testing rates and driving better patient outcomes. Don’t miss this critical window of engagement – talk to us about DXRX Physician Engage today. Just wrapped up an insightful workshop co-hosted by the FDA and the Digital Medicine Society (DiMe) on the important role of patient-generated health data (PGHD) in medical device development. Key Learnings: - Advanced remote clinical trial data collection: PGHD is revolutionizing how we gather and assess clinical outcomes remotely. - Enhanced patient perspectives: Emphasized the importance of integrating patient insights to reduce participation barriers and inform better clinical study designs. - Promoted health equity: Highlighted the critical role of diverse patient data in creating equitable healthcare solutions. - Panelists shared their 2030 vision for clinical trial advancements. One particularly fascinating idea was the potential to use (PGHD) to replace the placebo or comparator arm in clinical trials. This workshop highlighted the transformative power of PGHD in driving innovation and enhancing patient engagement by designing trials with patients, not just for them. I'm excited to see future advancements in PGHD! #healthcareinnovation #patientfirst #medicaldevices

One of the biggest challenges in #clinicaltrials is connecting the right participants to the right studies. By leveraging advanced #digitalhealth tools, we can achieve more precise recruitment. These technologies provide a comprehensive view of a patient's medical history, genomic data, and lifestyle factors, ensuring accurate matches for clinical trials. This approach speeds up the recruitment process and enhances the quality of participants, leading to more efficient and #patientcentric clinical trials. The integration of sophisticated data capabilities with extensive patient support networks is transforming clinical trial diversity and efficiency. This innovation addresses barriers faced by underserved populations, ensuring better representation and adherence to new FDA diversity requirements. By streamlining patient enrollment and improving engagement, the time to bring new treatments to market is significantly reduced. This progress fosters medical breakthroughs, addresses healthcare disparities, and makes the clinical trial process more inclusive and effective for all patients. #HealthcareInnovation #HealthTech #PatientEngagement #DataIntegration #PrecisionMedicine https://lnkd.in/dU5E6hpw

As we continue to advance mechanisms to help patients and study participants to become more informed decision makers, it is essential to develop inclusive and meaningful patient decision making solutions to help facilitate that process. "Shared decision-making relies on strong patient education and access to information, and PDAs can help support that. Through written and visual content displayed either on paper or over digital modules, PDAs help explain the key diagnostic and treatment information necessary to help patients collaborate on a treatment decision with their healthcare providers." Is there an opportunity to build upon what we have already learned in healthcare decision making aids as an enabler for more seamless access to clinical research options as part of the informed decision-making process. Welcome and insights from my network of advocates, innovators and collaborators.
