Decentralized Clinical Trials (DCTs) demonstrated that the traditional clinical trial model can adapt to new methods, making participation more accessible and convenient. However, while they offered great potential, they have fallen short of their ultimate goal of revolutionizing clinical trials. Five years after the rise of DCT, satellite clinical trial sites offer a more efficient approach that blends DCT accessibility with the advantages of traditional trials.
