Good luck to all our partners who are doing the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge tomorrow! We are extremely proud of you all and humbled by your commitment to train in all weathers to get ready for the big day.
The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge raising money for MIND This wonderful event all started with a simple conversation. Where 2 partners Grace and Johnny wanted to encourage our store partners to get out more in the fresh air and to boost positive mental health within the West Yorkshire area. That's when the idea came to walk the Yorkshire 3 Peaks and in turn, raise money for the charity MIND. MIND is a charity that focuses on supporting mental health issues within the UK. This event has now become one of the main fundraisers for 23.5 Degree's North Region Charity. Here are all the details about the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Hike: Yorkshire 3 Peaks includes Pen-Y-Gent, Whernside and Ingleborough. This challenge is famous for its tough terrain, long distances and tricky weather conditions. Let's look at the stats: Distance: 39.4km Elevation: 1,596 Time: 9h30-10h30 Flash forward a few months and we have had in-store partners, AC's, RD's and many other members of 23.5 Degrees out and about in nature hiking to practice towards the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge. The big date is set for the 10th September when 16 wonderful partners will complete the challenge. We are now in full fund-raising mode, wanting to hit our target of £3,000 Our next practice walk is on the 25th August, tackling Whernside and Ribblehead Circular, the final hike before the big day.
