That means: in order to enter the circuit, you have to download the app first. So, no printed pdf’s anymore! And more security because of the dynamic qr codes. This innovation paves the way to more commercial innovation coming soon… The innovation I’m not looking forward to actually use is: offline pin. That means that certain payment devices still can be used, even when there is a connectivity issue. It’s a great next step in making cashless environments more robust and we’re piloting it during next days at a small scale. To be ready for bigger challenges later on. You can’t walk five steps without bumping into a ticketing #scandal... 😲 The latest scandal: Companies scalping tickets to their own customers—a sign of deeper issues plaguing the entire market. How did we get here? The resale market has been shrinking, with competition heating up and regulations tightening. Even companies focused solely on resale have struggled to keep pace, prompting some to move into the primary #ticket market to boost revenue. However, this shift can backfire. Instead of partnering with clients to manage sales, the company now competes for the same customers, effectively cannibalizing its core business by turning partners into competitors. The last resort: #scalping their own customers. 🥴 This isn't about pointing fingers but learning from the aftershock of major players in the industry going under. At Showpass, we are continually learning and working on ways to safeguard fans. More recently, we launched secure Ticket Resales with price caps in place to prevent price-gouging.
