Over the past few months, we’ve been thrilled by the incredible number of startups that applied to join the Birdhouse 12-week program. Earlier last month, 49 of these startups had the opportunity to pitch live to our expert jury: 28 startups in the Tech vertical for Belgium and 21 in the AgeTech vertical for Europe.  Each vertical had its own tailored jury to provide the best possible feedback and insights! Some key highlights from our selection process: 41% of the participating startups had female founder(s), showcasing strong and growing diversity in the founder landscape! Every single day, startups fail for a multitude of reasons. Maybe they didn't do enough customer research. Maybe they misallocated funds! The list of reasons as to why they fail is really endless.
