It's just silly, really. There are a number of reasons businesses rebrand. Your first job is to figure out what your reason(s) is/are. The importance of WHY is key here. You should only be engaging in a rebrand if your current brand isn't doing what it's supposed to be doing. Is it looking a little old and dated? Is it no longer engaging your audience? Does it fail to communicate your messaging? And I'm sorry to say, but the fact that you no longer like your colors or your logo is now 'ugly' to you aren't really good reasons (unless, of course, your designer picked those colors and designed your logo for random reasons. This happens a lot). Here's what I suggest you do: 1) Identify the purpose of your rebrand - Why? Why? Why? 2) Talk to your customers - you're doing it for them, so why not ask them what is currently working and what isn't? 3) Map out a plan - it'll give you a sense of direction and something to refer back to along the way. Rebranding is an exciting process. It's your chance to align your visuals and messaging with your goals. And let's face it - it's your chance to make your business look and sound awesome and blow your competition out of the water. #brand #branding #rebrand
