What should you do with your life? 🤔 In today’s fast-moving world, an increasing number of young people report feeling adrift, with little sense of direction. For many, the path of studying, working, earning, spending, and then retiring can feel empty or meaningless. This raises an important question: what else could you do with your life? The organisation 80,000 Hours suggests that one of the most fulfilling things you can do is help others by creating a positive impact through your work. After all, it’s hard to imagine regretting saving lives and making meaningful change in the world. 😄 The good news is they’re currently giving away free copies of their book. If you’d like to read the ideas that have most significantly added meaning to my life, I highly recommend getting your copy! ⬇️ (And if you’re not the reading type, they also have a great podcast 😉🔊)

In two hours, you will learn how to research, prepare, write and apply for grants. At the end of this webinar, you will be able to target and learn how to organize grants to further your mission. Don’t worry if you don’t have access to the various fancy (and expensive) grant databases. We will show you how to: * Access grant information – for free! * Filter through 990 returns * Uncover names, and * Get around the “invite only” issue when determining fit. We will also work on systematizing the process of grants, so you don’t have to redo every time. https://lnkd.in/gF-7PQpS #grants #success #entrepreneurs

I don’t know about you but I am so done with “crisis mode”. This unholy alliance of worrying, reading-every-article-out-there, bubble-retreating, carry-on-and-whatever, and of course: cynicism will maybe get us through the day. But to what end? My wish for 2025 is for all of us to switch to “opportunity mode”. To ride on a collective energy to get better. To aim higher while building the groundwork for a new reality, one step at a time. Here’s our invitation for you to do just that - The PolyOpportunity. https://lnkd.in/d3vSv2Dz The PolyOpportunity is the most ambitious and biggest initiative of the House of Beautiful Business to date: a multi-track experience from March - June 2025 to explore how everything is interrelated for the better, and what it means for you. It includes four in-person gatherings across four continents, a 12-week digital learning journey, and six Open House online public forums. It’s designed for your intellect, your heart, your spirit, your body, and most importantly: for community. You can take part in it all, or pick and choose. Either way, I hope you will join us. :)

Anyone got any good examples of organisations which have substantially simplified themselves?? Because besides being a fundamental challenge human society needs to solve, I also think there’s a fascinating popular social science book waiting to written here. But, the missing piece is good case studies or examples. In the meantime, here’s the setup for I mean by complexity, and why I think it’s a real problem that we need to work out how solve, without using wars.
Book idea: How can organisations successfully reduce complexity??
