A great time catching up with a mentor of mine from Parsable, Jason Kalira, this weekend. No set agenda, no real targeted outcome that we were driving for, just friends sharing stories and talking about observations and patterns we've seen in our career. Two takeaways for me: 1. The importance of building a culture of velocity in a business. In Jason's words, "If someone is out for a week, they should come back and feel a little lost because so much has happened." 2. Execution matters, but your story matters more. The reality of our careers are not necessarily a clean path that tells an obvious, linear story. It's our job to craft that story and share how it all ties together in a compelling tale.
