On November 16th, we celebrated the International Day for Tolerance, an essential day that reminds us of the power of inclusion, acceptance, and respect. In a time of increasing social challenges, teaching tolerance, critical thinking, and providing different sources of information is crucial in creating safe and inclusive spaces, especially for vulnerable populations like children. Digital spaces provide an excellent opportunity to teach tolerance and create powerful and international connections. However, they can just as easily spread intolerance, bias and misinformation. Tolerance goes beyond passive acceptance; it's an active pursuit of empathy and a celebration of diversity to strengthen social cohesion, reduce conflict, and enhance mutual understanding. As we observe this day, let’s commit to fostering environments—both online and offline—that protect and empower individuals from all walks of life. Together, we can build a world where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. #InternationalDayForTolerance #Tolerance #ChildRights #OnlineSafety #DigitalInclusion #HumanRights AI generated Image

I’m proud to have contributed to this blog, which explores the gaps between global commitments and the realities young people face. 🌍 The #YouthPowerSummit showed the passion of young leaders, but there’s still a gap between commitments and action on priorities like digital rights and mental health. 💡 It’s time for leaders to work with young people as equal partners in building modern, inclusive governance systems. In September, the #YouthPowerSummit, hosted in collaboration with Restless Development, brought together young leaders to discuss how they can shape the future. 🤝 While the UN’s Pact for the Future promised greater youth inclusion in global governance, the final agreement falls short in key areas — particularly in reflecting youth priorities and ensuring meaningful participation. ➡️ In our latest blog post, explore the gaps between global commitments and the realities young people face, from digital rights to mental health. This is a crucial moment for world leaders to recognise young people as active partners in shaping policies that affect their lives. Sometimes diversity feels like a loaded word, especially for those considered 'diverse'. As if they're a token or an example that progressiveness is happening. Or worse, they're the guinea pigs for a system that's glaringly inaccessible and inequitable and they're the ones 'championing' for the accommodations or access they desperately need. (*we're still there*) I want to challenge us to think, envision, and create an accessible-first culture. We're not a monoculture, that's for Petri dishes. We're the most interconnected humanity has ever been which also means we have more access to knowledge, cultures, and intercultural, intergenerational, and intersectional awareness. Let's celebrate our diversity because it's not going anywhere. Join me on January 5th, especially if you're neurodiverse, neurospicy, disabled, or just feeling like joining the fun for learning more about our minds and creativity. Let's start 2025 - loud, proud, and taking up space. From one sparkly brain to another. https://lu.ma/rd9a783q #HiddenTruthsProject #Accessibility #Neurodiversity #ArtsinHealth #Diversity #MentalHealth #Creativity #IDEA

Hatred at a personal level and geopolitically is a growing concern in the world today, demanding a multifaceted approach. While I am not an expert, I believe we can all contribute to fostering understanding and compassion. A few ideas/suggestions we can embrace, - Educate ourselves better to promote critical thinking, empathy, and cultural awareness, fostering tolerance and reducing prejudice. - Support individuals and organizations that embody compassion and inclusivity, consuming media with constructive narratives to combat toxic inequalities. - Engage with and back social justice movements to drive meaningful change on a broader scale. These steps are not a quick fix but a necessary collective effort towards a positive future we can all embrace and be proud of. #inclusiveness #peaceonearth #togetherness #brotherhood #endtohatred #supportallcultures

In summary, intersectionality provides a critical framework for analyzing how various social identities intersect to shape experiences of oppression, while symbiosis emphasizes collaboration among different groups to combat systemic injustices. Together, they offer a comprehensive approach to understanding and addressing social inequalities by recognizing both the complexities of individual identities and the power of collective action. By integrating these frameworks, activists can develop more inclusive strategies that acknowledge diverse experiences while promoting solidarity in the fight for social justice.

🌍 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 🌍 Today, on 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆, we reflect on the principles that unite us as a global community. As outlined in 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝟭 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀: “𝘈𝘭𝘭 𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘯 𝘧𝘳𝘦𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘢𝘭 𝘪𝘯 𝘥𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘴.
