We are a consortium of more than 1000 organisations from 51 African countries that brings together a diverse membership drawn from Grassroots, CBOs, FBOs.

We’re proud to announce that Mithika Mwenda, PhD Executive Director of the Pan African Climate Justice Alliance PACJA has been named to The Independent’s list of the 100 exceptional people solving the planet’s greatest challenges! This recognition celebrates individuals driving real climate action, including Kenya’s President, H.E William Ruto. The list does not rank or compare these changemakers but showcases their extraordinary contributions to our global fight. PACJA has been at the forefront of climate justice advocacy, with notable efforts such as hosting the UN Civil Society Conference in Kenya this year. Additionally, Dr. Mithika’s leadership has seen PACJA speak out against questionable global decisions, including their criticism of Sultan al-Jaber’s appointment to lead COP28.
