Mirror , mirror on the wall ------------------------------ If you engage volunteers and want to increase the numbers that do volunteer, encourage reflection. Reflection is the process of introspection after a volunteering activity, and it can make a big difference in how much volunteers feel they have gained from the experience . And when they gain they are more likely to share the same and invite others to the same experience . At iVolunteer, we're emphasizing reflection more and more, especially with corporate volunteering. So, if you're looking for ways to boost your volunteer numbers, consider encouraging your volunteers to reflect on their experiences. What it does for them, their assumptions, their beliefs, did it change their perspectives... and use this to track if the the engagement with the community helped influence behaviour over a period of time We're here to help you get started if you need it! #volunteering , #volunteer, #corporatevolunteering , #employeeengagement ,
