Through baseline surveys, we discovered that many women and children faced severe health challenges, including anaemia, malnutrition and high rates of miscarriages. 🚑 Key Achievements: *) Regular health camps providing essential medicines and supplements like iron, calcium and multivitamins. *) Distribution of nutritious kits including almonds, raisins, figs and more to pregnant women. *) Improved healthcare access leading to healthier pregnancies and deliveries. *) Increased awareness and education on maintaining proper nutrition and regular medical check-ups. *) Planting fruit and vegetable trees to ensure a steady supply of fresh produce for the community. The results have been truly encouraging, with noticeable improvements in maternal and child health. The authors of this article document how emergency contraceptive pill (ECP) uptake may increase for young people, first-time users, and those living in rural areas of Malawi by offering the method through public, youth-serving channels, especially youth clubs and community health workers. A national strategy focused specifically on this product can help grow ECP demand; however, the supply chain for ECPs must be strengthened to meet the additional demand. https://lnkd.in/g5P6E_GC
