Dopamine and the Law of Diminishing returns Weird combination right? 🤔 Let me explain. We all know how good it feels when we accomplish something or receive recognition for our hard work at job. The sense of achievement that comes with these activities come from a little unknown piece of chemistry swirling in our bodies called Dopamine. 💥 Dopamine is also the hormone responsible for addiction. It is released when we achieve something in an activity that we enjoy. That activity can be enjoying a good game of FIFA or taking recreational drugs. This used to be simple in the old times. Eat, sleep, repeat, and get dopamine. But with Social Media this cycle has gotten shorter and weirder. With one second reels on Instagram now we get Dopamine easily without any effort or hard work. 😱 So how does Law of Diminishing Returns factor in here? Actually the more we scroll social media and the more we experience that short-term Dopamine rush, the less impactful it becomes. It's similar to what happens when you get Alcohol tolerance. You start one fine day with one peg of whiskey and months later you can't get the same euphoria with half a bottle. Similarly Social media gives Dopamine with one second reels but soon dopamine tolerance builds up and you have to keep scrolling and scrolling for hours to get one drop of Dopamine. So, let's not get too carried away with chasing that dopamine high. Instead, let's focus on finding new challenges and setting new goals to keep that rush going. 💪 So, next time you feel like you're stuck in a rut or not getting the same thrill from your accomplishments, remember the Law of Diminishing Returns. 🧠 Keep pushing yourself and aiming for new heights, and that dopamine rush will always be right around the corner. 🚀 #dopamine #dopaminerush #lawofdiminishingreturns #neverstoplearning

The Rising of Dopamine Culture. A concept that revolves around the idea of seeking instant gratification and pleasure in our daily lives. While it can be tempting to constantly chase after short-term rewards and happiness, it's important to consider the long-term effects of this behavior. On one hand, Dopamine Culture can be beneficial for productivity and motivation. It can push us to strive for success and achieve our goals. However, when taken to extremes, it can lead to addiction, impulsivity, and a lack of focus on what truly matters. To strike a balance, it's crucial to be mindful of how we consume dopamine-inducing activities and to prioritize sustainable and fulfilling experiences. This Fake Dopamine is gonna Kill You!!! Stay Awayyyy!!! Everything in this world is designed for a purpose, and so is the dopamine. What kinda purpose??? Well, to serve humans and reward them for any task that was hard to accomplish. Not only humans but all living creatures. A fox is also thrilled when he hunts!! Nowadays, the system has trapped people and addicted them to fake dopamine. -> Mobile phone -> Social Media -> Songs -> Clubs -> Unhealthy food And the list goes on far beyond our imagination. These fake dopamine addictions have made people weak and complaining. Forget that, let's chase real dopamine. -> The Sun -> The Sauna -> Meditation/ Prayer -> Reading -> Journaling -> Running -> Walking in the nature -> Family time and pretty much all the real exciting things. Trust me dude, if you chased these dopamine hits, they are gonna give you real excitments and give you some inner peace. All your anxiety and depression is gonna be vanished. Anyways, let me know how far you have come in life and what kind of a dopamine addicted you are. Don't worry, I won't judge. We are all the same:)

I found the reason you and I are lazy in the morning. Dopamine. In the last month, my motivation has been deteriorating. And a random glance at an ad that said something like: "Dopamine makes you depressed". That made me think and contemplate the last month. And I figured it out. The thing I have been doing constantly every day is checking my phone first thing in the morning. (I also take the phone with me to the bathroom). That causes a huge spike in dopamine, which makes other activities feel less rewarding and not worth the time. So here's the plan to combat that: → No phone or socials for 4 hours after I wake up. We'll see how it goes. P.S. If you feel like you are not motivated enough to get started, contemplate what you do consistently and try to find the cause. Feel free to DM me if you need any help with that.

Let’s talk Dopamine It might be known as the reward hormone, but it’s actually a messenger!! Dopamine is the primary driver in our brains reward system. It’s a chemical neurotransmitter that gives us feelings of pleasure like when we get good feedback, play our favourite sport, listen to music, eat our favourite food, or go shopping. We love dopamine hits! We can’t get enough, so we search for it by doing more of the activities that make us feel good. This is why dopamine plays a big part in addiction. Why are people doing dopamine detoxes? Well, you can’t actually do a dopamine detox. It’s in your brain anyway and you need it for muscle movement, sleep and memory. But you can be careful about the messages you give you brain that trigger high reward. When we eat high fat and high sugar foods, we trigger big dopamine hits, so telling your brain you can get the same hits from eating an apple, and detoxing from the flavour packed food, is helpful if you’re watching your fast-food intake. We get mini dopamine hits from scrolling social media, or online shopping, bigger hits when you buy and get a delivery! So being aware that you might be ‘dopamine mining’ could help you focus on why you’re there to put the device away when you’re done, or only buy the thing you need. We are hard wired to seek out ways to trigger our reward system, it’s part of our evolution, to keep doing the things we need to survive like eat and drink. But in our modern world it’s worth keeping an eye on where you seek out your rewards to keep things balanced and healthy. #dopamine #hormones #mindset #reward #feedback #selfdevelopment #personaldevelopment #selfhelp #detox #mindsetcoach

**Why Alcohol is So Dangerous** There is nothing that produces as much dopamine reward, pleasure, and motivation as alcohol. But here's the problem—when you continue to drink in the evenings to relax, drink every weekend with your friends, or have a drink at lunchtime with colleagues or clients, you’re doing real damage to your neurotransmitters. Studies show that alcohol increases dopamine release in the brain, creating that immediate feeling of reward and pleasure. However, **long-term drinking depletes your brain’s dopamine reserves**, meaning you’ll need more alcohol to achieve the same effect over time. Research from the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) found that chronic drinking reduces dopamine receptor sensitivity, leading to less motivation and enjoyment from non-alcohol-related activities. In addition, heavy alcohol use damages the prefrontal cortex, the part of the brain responsible for decision-making, self-control, and regulating emotions. This is why the more you drink, the more your brain becomes wired to **prioritise alcohol over healthier pursuits**, making it harder to enjoy other aspects of life and feel naturally motivated. The more you rely on alcohol for pleasure and relaxation, the more it rewires your brain, affecting your ability to feel good without it. It’s not just a drink; it’s a dangerous disruption to your brain's chemistry, impacting your long-term happiness, motivation, and success. Choose wisely. Get sober, stay sober! 🌟🚀 #GetSoberStaySober If you're ready to make a change and need help, **reach out to me**. You're not alone, and you deserve a life free from the grip of alcohol. Let's work together to get you back on track! 💪

𝗗𝗼𝗽𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝟮... If you want to start appreciating the little things in life again, you should try this. If you want to get rid of any addictions or prolonged unhealthy behaviors, this is a great way to start. Dopamine fasting involves intentionally abstaining from activities that produce quick dopamine spikes. These can be activities that give you immediate pleasure but later leave you feeling guilty or not so good. By intentionally abstaining from such activities, you allow your brain to recover, making it more sensitive to dopamine and improving your overall satisfaction with everyday activities. At the same time, you're developing a character with high self-control. Every day is not meant to be exciting. To appreciate excitement, you have to experience boredom and find your way through it. Does that make sense? Look at nature and the beautiful world we live in; it's balanced in the most wonderful ways. There are signs for those who see. Days and nights, life and death, light and darkness, happiness and sadness—the presence of one makes us appreciate the other more. Having both is equally important. Here's how dopamine fasting will benefit you: ✔ 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀: Reducing overstimulation helps you concentrate better on tasks that matter. ✔ 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆: With little to no distractions, you can accomplish more in less time. When your focus improves, you complete tasks quickly. ✔ 𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝗷𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Daily activities become more enjoyable once your dopamine levels stabilize. You'll observe that the little things will make you feel good and leave you smiling! Give it a try and notice the difference. Share your thoughts and comments below.
