Big News on Canada’s New Immigration Plan! 📢 Canada has just announced significant changes to its immigration targets for 2025-2027 📉 in response to growing demands on housing, infrastructure, and social services 🏠💼. This shift is a part of a long-term vision to achieve sustainable growth and ensure that newcomers have the resources they need to thrive 🌍✨. Here’s a quick breakdown: ➡️ From 500,000 Permanent Residents (PRS) annually to: 395,000 in 2025 380,000 in 2026 365,000 in 2027 📊 In addition, temporary resident numbers will be reduced to allow for a gradual decrease in Canada’s temporary population 📉, with fewer international students and temporary workers arriving each year. Canada aims to prioritize those already here by transitioning skilled workers and students to PR status 🤝📈. 🔍 With these changes, Canada seeks to balance its economic needs while managing housing and community resources to benefit everyone. Experts call for streamlined, digital immigration services in Canada A report by Deloitte highlights the urgent need for Canada to introduce more streamlined, digital immigration services. The housing crisis in the country is leading to a decline in the number of foreign nationals willing to immigrate, with many opting for alternative countries like the United States. The report warns that such a trend could potentially hinder Canada's economic growth. It underscores that the current economic challenges, coupled with rising living costs and a housing affordability crisis, create additional barriers for the skilled immigrants that Canada desperately needs. Contrarily, the US is attracting and retaining talent through a larger economic market, strong start-up ecosystem, educational opportunities, and favourable immigration policies. To counter this, the report recommends that Canada simplify its immigration processes and make them more digitally accessible. #Canada, #Immigration, #Digital_Services, #Economic_Growth, #Deloitte

Canada recently released information about its PNP immigration and inter-provincial immigration. While there is plenty of interesting information in these releases, one key theme we saw was an opportunity to discuss how newcomers could use this information to narrow down where to live in Canada. 🇨🇦 🎤 🎤 This week, Canada announced its intention to reduce immigration targets for the first time in years. Here are the no's at a glance. -2025: Immigration targets reduced from 500K immigrants to 395K - a 21% cut. -2026: Reduced from 500K to 380K -2027: Reduced from 485K to 365K -PNPs reduced by 50 percent - from 120K to 55K per year for next 3 years. These figures represent a pause in the aggressive upward trend we’ve seen, but.. I see this as a strategic shift rather than a setback. Why?? With limited spots, quality and value based guidance become more essential than ever. As a professional who has witnessed an avalanche of policy changes, and heightened awareness amongst clients-quality and ethical legal services will find positive differentiation and recognition. Now more than ever, skilled professionals, students, and families seeking their Canadian dream need us to do even better to help them navigate an increasingly competitive landscape. Canada remains committed to welcoming immigrants, and with a more limited intake, our profession has a crucial role in helping clients make strong, competitive applications. Those looking to make Canada their home will need to: 1️⃣ Optimize their profiles through well-documented applications, 2️⃣ Navigate program-specific requirements, and 3️⃣ Align with the country’s labor market needs to enhance their success rates. We can add value in every single one of these areas! Therefore, lets seek to turn these numbers into new beginnings and opportunities, and hope this is what CANADA needs to be better. #CanadaImmigration #RCIC #ImmigrationNews #Canada2024 https://lnkd.in/gpuvBzwf

In recent years, Canada has watered down our world-class economic immigration formula, decreasing the success of newcomers and the economic impact for Canada. Today we launch our latest policy paper – it’s an emphatic, data-driven case to increase, rather than dilute, the provinces’ role in immigration. https://lnkd.in/g3449WDV Provinces are in a better position to identify what skills are most needed, and guide newcomers to areas other than the main two or three cities that have traditionally been where most immigrants settle. The evidence shows it – better newcomer success, more distribution of the benefits across the country, and better economic outcomes.
