The hospitality and textile industries are significant contributors to greenhouse gas emissions and environmental degradation. Hotels alone generate 60 million tonnes of CO2 annually, with activities like uniform laundering contributing to water usage and microplastic pollution. This is what Tailored by Ocean Born is trying to address - it’s the Foundation’s B2B initiative focused on producing environmentally responsible uniforms and custimised corporate products. We aim to help organisations reduce their environmental footprint, and like all OBF initiatives, 100% of the profits are donated to restoring and protecting the ocean. If you're in the hospitality industry and interested in partnering with us to make a meaningful impact on our planet, please reach out: https://lnkd.in/dEdz6TJC Also, you can learn more about how four sustainable hotels are already taking steps to reduce their carbon footprint. Thanks to The Reason Behind for the article: https://lnkd.in/dnwRTY6t

About 90% of our airline’s carbon footprint comes from jet fuel. But what if we could change that? Enter Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)—which reduces life cycle emissions by up to 80% and is the greatest near-term lever for accelerating our progress toward a net-zero future. Despite challenges like availability and costs, we’re committed to investing in SAF and advocating for its expansion. We’ve already secured offtake agreements for over 200 million gallons of SAF annually, for delivery starting in 2030. But we can’t do it alone. Let’s work together to scale the SAF industry and make travel more sustainable. Watch our Chief Sustainability Officer, Amelia DeLuca, discuss our strategy in the video and learn more about our SAF initiatives here: https://lnkd.in/e49ze_5H
