Punjab #NAT2023: Maths and English results reveal both progress and areas for improvement Compared to 2019, student performance in English has significantly improved in Grade 4. In 2019, the average score was 51%, whereas in 2023, it has jumped to a strong 71%. This highlights the effectiveness of implemented strategies in strengthening English language skills. However, Maths scores require further focus. While there's a slight increase in Grade 8 Maths (from 52% in 2019 to 53% in 2023), it remains an area for improvement. Back-to-back scams have shaken the confidence and trust of students and aspirants in the Indian education system. It has become a major issue and should be resolved on an urgent basis. Earlier, it was the NEET paper leak scam, and after that, the incident of the UGC-NET paper leak came out. Now, the case of the 2023 batch of IAS Puja Khedkar worked as a cherry on top. But the UPSC has cancelled her candidature and debarred her from all future examinations or selections. This news could be a sigh of relief for aspirants and could help in building trust. The government should focus more on these issues rather than debating unnecessarily in Parliament on caste and religion, because it is about the future of the youth, and the youth are the future of our country. Punjab #NAT2023: Insights into student performance across locations While overall scores varied slightly between rural and urban areas, some subjects displayed notable achievements: 👉 English, Urdu, and Science saw consistent performance in both rural and urban settings. Grade 4 English scores were high, with 70% (rural) and 72% (urban) on average. Similarly, Grade 8 Science scores were impressive, with 66% (rural) and 63% (urban). 👉 Grade 8 Math presented a unique finding. Here, rural students achieved a slightly higher average score (55%) compared to urban students (50%). Further investigation is needed to understand the factors behind this trend. Possible Irregularities in NEET UG 2024 Results There are troubling signs in the NEET UG 2024 results: students from the same center have suspiciously high scores, with the last three digits of their roll numbers differing. Additionally, no institute has claimed their results so far. This raises serious concerns about the integrity of the examination process. We are expected to have three pathways + The pathways are divided into tracks, a learner shall be placed in only one pathway. + Learners shall be placed in one track in the pathway, every track will have core learning areas(subjects) and elective learning areas(subjects). + Every senior secondary is expected to offer at least two pathways. + Well equipped schools will be allowed to offer all the three pathways. + STEM will be emphasized hence majority of the schools if not all will be having STEM. The target is to have 60% of schools or a higher percentage to offer STEM. + Only community service learning and P.E will be compulsory across all the three pathways + The era of maths,English and Kiswahili being compulsory will be long gone. #kenya #cbc
