AND how it will remove the hassle of meal prepping everything on Sunday for the week ahead? As a busy mom, I love kitchen hacks, and here’s my tips for jazzing up your diet with more variety. It’s all about how you make use of left-overs to use for different combinations, to make a whole new meal that’s original. Start the habit of cooking extra when you make dinner. This provides left-overs so you can build up a freezer stash to pull out later and combine with todays’ meal, for a whole new creation that’s original. An example is combining tonight’s chicken with left-overs from a previous meal… throw in a few new items, and voila – you’ve got a new dinner combo! Can you maintain your diet while eating out? Absolutely! It's all about mindful choices. Here are some tips I use to stay on track: 1️⃣ Plan ahead: If you're eyeing a multi-course meal, consider cutting back on calories earlier in the day. ⭕️ I went for a lighter breakfast with two eggs and a slice of sourdough. Instead of the usual 4 eggs and 2 slices. This paid for the cheese cake. 2️⃣ Pick wisely: Choose restaurants offering clean options. ⭕️We booked a table at Margret Bistro, which has a banging flat iron steak. 3️⃣ Never arrive hungry: Prevent overindulging by having a protein-rich snack 30 minutes before. ⭕️ I had a boiled egg to keep me satisfied without ruining the meal. 4️⃣ Hydrate right: Choose water to prevent over indulging on calorific alcohol until the food comes out. ⭕️ sparkling water with a hint of lime satisfies the hunger pangs without the added calories you get from the booze.
