I am grateful to share that our paper, entitled 'Current Designs of Robotic Arm Grippers: A Comprehensive Systematic Review,' was the most cited paper in the Journal of Robotics (MDPI). In this paper, we evaluated numerous gripper designs for diverse applications, classifying them based on their mechanical characteristics.
🏆 Welcome to read and share the Top 🔟 Cited Papers in 2023 from Robotics MDPI: https://lnkd.in/g_9a2axH 👏 Highly appreciate the Contributions of Md. Did I see you at MODEX? Most likely. This year's MODEX attracted an impressive 40,000+ attendees and featured over 1200 exhibitors. Hop on this virtual tour to see what set Locus Robotics's booth apart from the crowd. Huge shout-out to our stellar Locus crew, and all our partners and customers who brought their A-game to our booth. You folks are the real MVPs! Can’t wait to do it all over again at ProMat in Chicago next year. Until then, let's continue to drive the future of supply chain together! Humanoids About to Enter Our Homes Last week’s Humanoids Summit 2024 in Mountain View created quite a buzz, even in a place like Silicon Valley. Hosted at the Computer History Museum, the event brought together leading experts and innovators in humanoid robotics. Humanoids of all sizes and shapes were showcased. Speakers made it clear that humanoids are not part of the distant future—they are on the verge of entering our homes. Once they do, their development will accelerate, and we will learn how to use them to tackle challenges and improve our lives. www.svnordicbeat.com #HS2024 #Humanoids

At The Knowledge Society (TKS), we recently had a hackathon where we were prompted to create a slide deck and elevator pitch video, highlighting our solution to the problem statement "Create an innovative solution to a real problem using depth of knowledge from your Focus topics that can be deployed in less than 3 years."🚀 Working with my amazing team, Nitish Manocha, Rhea Grace Mehra and Nazlı Dolap, we realized how the robots that are currently sent to the moon are limited in efficacy as they need a human present for them to be controlled but, the environment of the moon is extremely dangerous to human health leading to complications like cancer or damages to the respiratory system.🌌🫁In addition, these robots are sent with pre set missions and are not extremely flexible in terms of what they can achieve once sent to the moon. To solve this, we believe that we can bring together humanoid robots and haptic technology to allow a human on earth to control a robot on the moon just with simple movements that would be replicated. 🤖 This way we could allow for moon exploration to occur without harming human health and at a higher efficacy as the robots would be able to carry out more actions 🌑 Even though we were not announced among the top teams, I'm grateful for the experience as I was able to learn a lot. I really appreciate the efforts of my team and the great feedback we received from Pranav Menon and Shea Tough ⭐ With more challenges upcoming, I will definitely be implementing the advice we received and it would be great to receive even more. So, do feel free to drop pointers on where we could have elevated either our solution, slide deck or any other factor. 💝 The slide deck : https://lnkd.in/dgW3qW-d

This is worth a read to understand that investing in defence isn’t just about bombs, blades, and bullets. National Security covers critical aspects of our day to day life. Notice, in line with the themes set by DIANA, the investment into firms looking at energy security or data security.
Today, DIANA is excited to announce ten companies will move into Phase II of our acceleration programme, receiving additional funding and guidance to boost their commercial and defence adoption success. The ten innovators were part of DIANA's first cohort of 44 companies, which tackled complex defence, security and resilience challenges during an intensive six-month programme earlier this year. 👏Congratulations👏 to: Aquark Technologies Astrolight Dolphin Labs Ocean Ephos Goldilock IONATE Lobster Robotics Phantom Photonics REVOBEAM SECQAI Read the press release below to learn more, and stay tuned for spotlights on each company in the coming weeks.

🚀 HARMONIOUS – Human-like reactive motion control and multimodal perception for humanoid robots 🎲 🃏 What does it take to play a board game with a humanoid robot? We have developed HARMONIOUS, a real-time reactive motion control system for a humanoid which uses two arms to play the game while perceiving and avoiding contact with humans through touch, proximity, and vision. Thrilled to share our latest research which just appeared in the IEEE Transactions on Robotics! with Jakub Rozlivek Alessandro Roncone Ugo Pattacini. 🕸️ The publication webpage https://lnkd.in/eJyrka8K has all the links to the full text, code, more videos etc.
