During a panel at HLTH USA, Dedi Gilad and other healthcare leaders tackled a major issue: how to support community health systems in reaching rural and underserved populations. With speakers from Providence and Imagine Pediatrics, they explored the role of technology in reducing emergency room overuse and clinician burnout, and in improving access for Medicaid patients. It’s clear that with the right tools and community partnerships, healthcare access can expand to meet the needs of millions. #HLTHUSA #HealthcareAccess #DigitalHealth

The Wall Street Journal write an alarming article. ⏰ Only about 14% of emergency departments nationwide are certified to treat children. This lack of preparation results in tragic outcomes... Children are four times more likely to die in less-prepared emergency rooms. 😱 Healthcare innovation with pediatric population is difficult. The population is seen as small and not wealthy... So, the funding is mostly allocated to cardiac-vascular issues for 40+ and for elderly. Our youth deserves better care. Remember that the children are 25% of the population but 100% of our future. 💪 We believe in the power of pediatric innovation. It is not easy. There are a lot of constraints: size, signals, indirect communication through caregivers, etc. We are not working in emergency departments depicted in the article. We are working after this with our RPM platform. Our mission is to expand hospital care to every child at home. Thanks to the technology, it is now possible. Ensuring the health and safety of our children requires a collective effort. We must focus on funding and support for pediatric healthcare innovation. Together, we can create a future where every child receives the care they deserve, regardless of where they are treated. 👉 https://lnkd.in/eu8_5WZU #pediatricscare #RPM #homecare #emergencydepartment #careinnovation

🚀 Exciting Day One at HLTH 2024! 🚀 Yesterday marked Adhera Health's first time attending HLTH, and what an incredible experience it has been! Our team dove right into the sessions, starting with "Child-proof Care Models," moderated by Mark Del Monte, President of the American Academy of Pediatrics. The panel, featuring experts from Blue Cross Blue Shield, Boston Children’s Hospital, and Hazel Health, sparked essential discussions around asynchronous care and its efficiency for care teams and families. A key takeaway was the importance of ensuring that digital health solutions cater to the most vulnerable populations, not just those who can pay. This echoed sentiments we heard during our time at Rock Health. The panel encouraged digital health startups to think outside the box with metrics, such as reducing school absenteeism among children—something we at Adhera Health are passionate about! We then attended the session titled "1 in 5: Addressing the Child Obesity Epidemic," where Jason Langheier, CEO/Founder of Foodsmart, emphasized that tackling childhood obesity requires a family-centered approach. The entire panel agreed that education is crucial in preventing this growing issue. Finally, we wrapped up the session part of the day with the session titled "40 Million Children," highlighting the significant number of children on Medicaid. The key message? Engagement is far more critical than technology itself. Post-sessions, our team had the opportunity to connect with several enthusiastic investors who are excited about our whole-family care approach to pediatric chronic conditions. If you're at HLTH, come check us out at the ScaleHealth Pavilion (#3210 - Kiosk #13)! We’re eager to share our vision and collaborate with others dedicated to improving pediatric health outcomes. #HLTH2024 #AdheraHealth #PediatricHealth #DigitalHealth #ChronicConditions #HealthEquity #ChildObesity #FamilyCare
