A couple of years ago, I wrote on the practical capabilities that modern HR leaders and functions must have for HRM Online - the official news site for the Australian HR Institute (AHRI). In the article I highlighted five critical aspects that were focused at the time (2021), emerging from the pandemic experience: 1. Is your HR function delivering value in an integrated manner? (inspired by the research of Dave Ulrich) 2. Experimentation will be key (inspired by the work of Lynda Gratton) 3. Reflect on the role HR plays to continuously improve 4. Consider the symbiotic relationships HR has with other areas of the business and how to leverage those (ie: managers) 5.
