IDignity's work is an intricate balance of supporting clients throughout the process of obtaining identification.🪪 As Kelly said, "It's a collaborative network that we use in order to obtain identification for our clients." There are many cases in which clients require legal assistance to get their documents and in turn obtain things like work, housing, education, and more. So many cases, in fact, that we need your help! 💗 - Interested in learning more about how you can help? As a not-for-profit social enterprise we wanted to support #SmallCharityWeek2024 and share a little more about our work, our history and the role we have in tackling youth unemployment. But also and importantly we want to help raise the profile of the brilliant charity and not-for-profit sector, over these last few years the work of these organisations has been more in demand than ever before, but of course the funding and donation contributions have not grown in the same way. I know too many brilliant charity leaders who spend their nights worrying about keeping their much needed services running and a million other things, that only charity leaders get! Many of my connections on LinkedIn are Senior Leaders in the private or public sector and so my ask of you this #SmallCharityWeek2024 is to consider how you can boost your social value by supporting small charities and not for profits in your community, within your employee network or within your own buying power. There are so many examples of organisations looking to boost their impact within the budgets they already have, or by connecting their colleagues to great volunteering/trustee opportunities and so much more. We need the charity sector and they need us. Lets see how we can show our LOVE for small charities this #SmallCharityWeek2024 and beyond. NCVO #LoveYourSmallCharity https://lnkd.in/g5mDDnKZ

On Sunday 6th October, I will be taking part in Palace to Palace and cycling 90 miles from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle raising funds for the Prince’s Trust. The Prince's Trust has tailored programmes and provides long-term support giving young people the practical skills and emotional resilience to pick themselves back up and create their own positive futures. The recent Class of Covid report reveals almost half of young people in the UK (49%) feel anxious about their future on a daily basis, with 59% agreeing it feels frightening for their generation. Findings suggest the impact of the pandemic and now a cost-of-living crisis is taking its toll on young people, as 45% agree anxiety around recent political and economic events affects them daily. More than a third (35%) feel their life is spiralling out of control, and for those from lower income backgrounds, this increases to 41%. If you could donate anything to help someone less fortunate it would be most appreciated. The link to my just giving page is below @oracle https://lnkd.in/e3AzVUXe

#socialenterpriseimpact The children’s library funding hole is approximately £2 billion. The problem is urgent, and it needs immediate funding. Given the current financial climate, we need to find other ways to help solve the problem rather than just relying on the government to fix it. The children’s book industry is worth £843 million. It makes sense to tap into this revenue for contributions, and that is where we come in. As a social enterprise and children's book retailer seeking to become a market leader, we aim to make a substantial impact on the worst parts of this issue. What we are seeking to do is more than just raise money for children’s reading. We want to innovate and create new, magical ways of reaching children. We aim to fund research and collect data that can be shared with all stakeholders across the industries shaping the children’s reading landscape. We also want to support the invisible communities—those that are not quite deprived, but far from thriving. The British taxpayer shouldn’t be asking why they should shop with us - they should be asking how they can afford not to. Support our scrappy little start up.
