I’ve been reflecting on the rollercoaster that is Q4 in our industry. If we are honest, it’s always a bit of a slog, but I am ending the year on such a positive note, with two exciting new client projects lined up to kick off the new year! Q1 is one of my favourite times—there’s something so refreshing about a clean slate. It’s the perfect moment to mix things up: rethinking reporting, tweaking meetings, sparking new ideas, and diving into fresh strategies. For those clients who felt like 2024 got away from them, it’s the ideal time to regroup and start strong. While I am lucky that one team is at full client capacity until Q2, this early momentum is such a great way to approach the year ahead—not rushed, but purposeful. I love that balance of starting fresh while still having space to be creative. And let’s be honest: I’m also living for the upcoming break. A chance to recharge and soak up some festive cheer is precisely what the doctor ordered before jumping into what’s shaping up to be an exciting year. 2024: What a Year! As we wrap up 2024, it’s time for my annual attempt at summing up a year that has been anything but boring. Let’s call it a mix of hard work, big wins, and just a little chaos to keep things interesting. 🏆 Work Wins At RoomPriceGenie, we’ve had an amazing year. From picking up awards to launching new features, it’s been incredible to see how much we’ve grown. The highlight? Watching small, medium, large and independent hoteliers thrive using our tools. Helping someone boost their revenue by 20%? That’s what it’s all about. 🌍 Adventures and Connections This year took me to some fantastic places (both work and play), meeting hoteliers, colleagues, and partners who are as passionate about hospitality as I am. There may have been one or two airport and train delays along the way, but hey, it’s all part of the adventure. 💼 The Team The RoomPriceGenie team continues to be a group of absolute legends. Working with talented, driven people who also know how to have a laugh? That’s a win in itself. They make the long days fly by and the challenges feel like opportunities. ❤️ 📈 Personal Growth Professionally, this year was about stepping up, taking on new challenges, and occasionally Googling, “How to stay calm during a Google Meets Crash.” (We’ve all been there, right?) Personally, it’s been a year of learning, trying new things, and figuring out how to balance it all. Spoiler alert: still a work in progress. Looking Ahead As 2025 approaches, I’m excited for what’s next: new projects, bigger goals, and probably a few more cups of coffee than I should admit to. 🎄 Only 132 Days Until Christmas! 🎄   Can you believe we’re already past the halfway point of 2024? Time really does fly when you’re achieving big things! This year at AVALES has been nothing short of remarkable, with milestones that have pushed us, challenges that have shaped us, and growth that’s driven us forward.   Let’s take a quick spin through what we’ve been up to: We kicked off the year with a bang. January saw us shattering records with our calendars filled to the fullest. Talk about starting on a high note! Our team hit the ground running, diving headfirst into a wave of high-demand projects. The pressure was on, but we didn’t just handle it — we thrived.   As we moved into spring, we didn’t just bloom — we expanded. March was all about growth as we welcomed Bianca Marty to our leadership team, steering AVALES toward even greater success. And we didn’t stop there. We were thrilled to bring Nathalie Tanner on board, setting the stage for some exciting expansions into new markets. But more on that soon…   April and May weren’t just about working hard; they were about working smart, too. We took a moment to recharge and reconnect during our very first team retreat in the picturesque tbay of Spiez. It was two days of laughter, learning, and leveling up our teamwork, preparing us for the challenges ahead.   And speaking of challenges: summer has been a true test of our resilience. With a full slate of projects and new hurdles popping up at every turn, our team’s dedication and adaptability really shone. The Swiss Economic Forum’s motto, “When the going gets tough… the tough get going,” has never felt more fitting.   Now, as we march into the final stretch of the year, we’re more energized than ever.
