Building Together: A Solid Foundation for Orphan Care The heart of any successful endeavour lies in a shared understanding. During a recent gathering (caregiver orientation) with the wonderful caregivers from our new church partner, we (Forgotten Voices International) didn't just discuss expectations – we embarked on a collaborative journey. Instead of burdening them with pre-determined goals, we explored together: 👉 What success looks like for our 5-year orphan care ministry partnership. 👉 How each member can contribute their unique talents and perspectives. 👉 Open communication about potential roadblocks and how we can navigate them as a team. By engaging in this dialogue, we fostered a strong foundation built not just on expectations, but on mutual respect, clear communication, and a shared vision. We were reminded of the profound truth: failure or missteps don't have to define us. When we work together, we can learn from them and adapt our approach, ensuring the well-being of the children we serve remains our collective priority. This partnership with our new church family promises to be an incredible journey, and we're excited to see what we can achieve together! #Forgottenvoicesinternational #Orphancare #Caregiverorientation #DemonstratingtheloveofGod

Being a family caregiver is no small task. While we love to focus on our patients, caregiving is a two-way relationship between the caregiver and the person receiving care. Did you know that 66% of caregivers are caring for a senior with a health problem or disability? Having shared the shoes of millions across the world as a family caregiver, I will say that it can be an extremely emotionally fulfilling experience. It can also be very challenging. Approximately 67% of family caregivers have difficulty balancing their jobs with caregiving duties. Not to mention, caregiver burnout is real! While we celebrate the efforts of family caregivers, it is important for us to spread awareness on the issues that family caregivers may face and educate our community on ways that these amazing humans may receive our support! Whether it’s the VA, Alzheimer’s Association, AARP, or even Facebook; there are resources and support groups for our family caregivers in the community. What are some ways that we can increase support for family caregivers?
Today is National Family Caregiver Day! The Alliance is excited to join this longstanding day of celebration as National Care at Home Month celebrates and supports paid and unpaid caregivers, building on the existing work of National Family Caregivers Month by the Caregiver Action Network, among others. National Family Caregivers Month – celebrated each November — is a time to recognize and honor family caregivers across the country. Celebrating family caregivers enables all of us to: ◻ Raise awareness of family caregiver issues ◻ Celebrate the efforts of family caregivers ◻ Educate family caregivers about self-identification ◻ Increase support for family caregivers ◻ Reduce feelings of isolation Thank you to the many millions of caregivers nationwide who make professional home care possible. The Alliance will increase its focus on advocacy on behalf of paid and unpaid caregivers in the months and years ahead! #StrongerTogether #NationalFamilyCaregiversMonth

In the caregiving sector, this principle isn't just inspirational – it's transformational. When we support family caregivers, we strengthen entire communities and enable better outcomes for all involved in the care journey. Professional caregiving and family support aren't just about providing services; they're about creating a network of empowered individuals who can better care for themselves and their loved ones. In today's modern world, managing various responsibilities like work, family, and personal commitments often feels like walking a tightrope. But amidst this hustle and bustle, one fundamental aspect remains unchanged: the significance of caregiving within families. Recently, a dear friend shared their journey of navigating the complexities of tending to an aging parent while balancing a demanding job and raising a family. It made me realize that caregiving goes beyond mere physical assistance; it's about offering compassion, encouragement, and companionship to those in need. At SageHub, we deeply comprehend the profound impact of caregiving on families. Whether it's ensuring our loved ones receive the utmost care or lightening the load for overwhelmed caregivers, our goal is to provide steadfast support every step of the way.
