Discovery of 3.41 tariff in 1200MW/1200MWh, means by paying additional 80 paise Discom can get 2hrs peak dispatchable power @ 600MW/1200MWh.( considering 2.60 for pure solar tariffs) Considering 18 to 20% power to be supplied through battery and rest is direct solar(@2.6 per KWh) will result in 6.75 per kWh power through battery. With 15% Rte losses and 2.6 solar power will make battery storage cost less than Rs. 4. Going forward with many Gwh factories getting commissioned world wide and in India will driver this cost much lower and solar plus storage may address most of the peak power and duck curve issues. This will help more addition of RE power without putting stress on grid. APSRC 2024 Day 2 at the #PVManufacturing session chaired by Nathan Chang, one of the lead authors of ACAP and APVI's Silicon to Solar report that stimulated the Government's Solar SunShot policy. Dan Sturrock from Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) talked about supporting Australian manufacturing through #SolarSunshot. Ashley Brinson discussed #silicon for the PV industry, and Vince Allen from SunDrive Solar explained that combining Australian innovation with Chinese manufacturing expertise is the key to unlocking Australia's full potential as a solar manufacturing powerhouse. Sundrive has partnered with Trinasolar Asia Pacific. Rich Petterson from Tindo Solar echoed the theme that to make the best use of Australia's rich innovation ecosystem we need Australian companies to make use of the IP. Simeon Baker-Finch from 5B talked about their highly innovative 50kW Maverick module that is factory prefabricated, energy dense and allows rapid deployment - 1.25MW was installed in a day on one WA site. Through standardisation they have cut engineering, design, logistics and labour costs. There's no end of innovation in Australia! As an advocate deeply invested in the intersection of law and sustainability, I was honored to attend the Energy Transition Summit organized by CII-SR. The event was a pivotal opportunity to delve into the legal and regulatory aspects of our energy transformation journey. One of the standout moments of the summit was the keynote speech delivered by Mr. Rajesh Lakhoni, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Chairman & Managing Director of TANGEDCO, and Chairman of TANTRANSCO. His address was enlightening, offering a comprehensive overview of the critical role that governance and regulatory frameworks play in accelerating the energy transition. Key takeaways from Mr. Lakhoni’s speech included: Strategic Policy Directions: Insight into the strategic policy directions required to support and accelerate the adoption of renewable energy sources. Higher standard for solar modules ✨ In recent months, Iqony Sens has been working with other experts on a standard for "Technical requirements for solar modules". Alexandra Körner and Tobias Leschinsky from Iqony Sens contributed their expertise to the working group, in addition to experts from greentech, ABO Energy, ASG Energie AG, BayWa r.e. Global, DKB | Deutsche Kreditbank AG, ENERPARC AG, GOLDBECK SOLAR Group, SCHOENERGIE, Sonnedix, Wattmanufactur GmbH & Co. KG, Wattner AG, 8.2 Consulting AG and VDE. 🤝🏽 The result of this working group is the SQMS, the Solar Module Quality Standard, on the basis of VDE SPEC 90038. 📄 What does it offer? This standard is intended to guarantee the quality of solar modules and at the same time simplify the purchasing process. For the industry, the initiative therefore means an enormous gain in quality, reliability and efficiency. 📈💪🏽 The SQMS contains all relevant requirements for technology, quality, material and ESG, which are divided into three quality levels.
