There’s no single cause for suicide. Suicide most often occurs when stressors and health issues converge to create an experience of hopelessness and despair. Depression is the most common condition associated with suicide, and it is often undiagnosed or untreated. Conditions like depression, anxiety, and substance problems, especially when unaddressed, increase the risk of suicide. Yet it’s important to note that most people who actively manage their mental health conditions go on to engage in life. RCBM can help you or your loved one. #suicideprevention

June may be almost over, but let's not forget this important message: Men and mental health matter! While depression is often a focus, men experience a wide range of mental health challenges. Here's a reality check: Anxiety disorders: 1 in 3.4 men struggle with anxiety, compared to 1 in 5.6 women. Bipolar disorder: This condition affects men and women roughly equally. ⚖️ Schizophrenia: A staggering 90% of cases diagnosed by age 30 are in men. ⚠️ Men are less likely to seek help due to stigma. Let's break down those barriers! Here's what you can do: Check in with your bros. Talking openly can be a huge relief. Educate yourself. Learn about the signs and symptoms of mental health conditions. Share resources. Spread the word about mental health hotlines and support groups. ️ *Remember, men - seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness.* #MensMentalHealth #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth #YouMatter

Believing that you can simply snap out of depression if you try hard enough is a dangerous and pervasive myth. Depression is not a matter of willpower; it is a complex mental health disorder that involves biological, psychological, and environmental factors. This misconception can prevent individuals from seeking the help they need, perpetuating feelings of guilt and inadequacy. Professional treatment, including therapy and medication, along with a strong support system, is often necessary to effectively manage and overcome depression. If you or a loved one is struggling with symptoms of depression, you don’t have to do it alone. Give our team at TMS Clinics of Canada a call at (905) 897-9699 to see how we can help. #depression #depressiontreatment #mentalhealth #depressionfacts
