$389,000,000 Always nice to start a post with a big number! $389,000,000 represents the size of the total prize funds available on the PGA Tour for the 37 events that make up the 2023/24 season, excluding the season-ending Tour Championship. The PGA Tour's event structure has undergone subtle tweaks for this season, with eight events now designated as signature events with total prize funds of $20 million on the line. The Player's Championship commands the biggest purse of $25 million, $4 million ahead of the highest-paying major championship, the U.S. Open. So, where are the majors left in the financial war that has raged ever since LIV Golf came on the scene? Is the PGA Tour's desire to compete with LIV financially sustainable? What impact does the need for ever-greater riches have on title sponsors? Our latest article looks at all these relationships. There is big money on the line in the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) next year. ⛳ 📈 The LPGA has just announced its schedule for 2025, which features more than $131 million in prize money across 35 events. ⛳ The LPGA will celebrate its 75th anniversary season next year and is the world's longest-running women's professional sports organization. 📈 The 2025 season's $131 million prize fund marks an increase of more than $62 million (90%) in four years. 💰 Prize money for non-majors will total over $83 million, up from $45.8 million in 2021. The four major tournaments will feature more than $47 million in total prize money. The financial growth comes at a time where stars like Nelly Korda - who, with a victory at last weekend's The Annika driven by Gainbridge at Pelican Golf Club, just became the first American woman since 1990 to win seven events in a single season - are driving more and more eyes to the sport. Nelly could exceed $8 million in total on-course earnings this season with a victory in the CME Group Tour Championship this weekend, where the winner will take home $4 million.

Where are my golfers? I’m excited for this event…you know I specialise in leadership training but did you know there are SO many similarities between golf and being a leader? Playing golf has taught me so much about leadership! 🏌️♂️ Just like in golf, being a great leader means staying focused, being patient, and thinking strategically. Here are a few lessons golf has reinforced: 1. **Preparation is Key**: Just as I practice my swing, leaders must prepare for meetings and projects. 2. **Adaptability**: Weather changes on the course, and business conditions change too. Adapt and keep moving forward. 3. **Patience and Resilience**: Not every shot lands where you want it. Learn from mistakes and stay resilient. Both golf and leadership are continuous journeys of improvement. Let's keep refining our skills and striving for excellence! See you in June at the Whitby Chamber of Commerce golf event at Royal Ashburn Golf Club #Leadership #Golf #ContinuousLearning #Resilience #leadershiptraining #teetime #supportlocal #chamberofcommerce #businessowner #whitby

Who didn't love putting contests as a junior golfer? Playing against your friends for £1, for golf balls or event for a plate of chips, these were serious events. They were more than that though, they allowed us to bond over short contests whilst working on the most important parts of our games. They made us feel like we belonged as part of the junior golf scene at our clubs. In our 11th White Paper, we addressed the issue of belonging. Making new golfers feel like they belong as part of the golfing community is crucial to grow our sport. One idea is to build leagues at your club so that people we can foster this feeling of fun competition and build that feeling of belonging. Discover how to build your golf business by leaning-into making people feel like they belong: https://lnkd.in/eXRvRKPS 📸 : Lukas Opekar (Unsplash)
