MedTech Innovator is the largest and highest-performing accelerator of medical technology in the world and the medtech industry’s premiere showcase and competition for innovative medical devices, digital health, and diagnostic companies. 95% of their companies are still in business or have been acquired, raising 30% of the global private funding invested in Medtech last year. The 1st stage is an online application. Afterwards, they run the Medtech Innovator Road Tour where 200 out of 1,400 applicants are invited to participate in one of a series of pitch events. Upfront Diagnostics has been invited to the International Pitch Event held on April 15 in Dublin. These companies will have access to corporate executives, investors, providers, payers, FDA, NIH, DoD, and other stakeholders. They will join an exclusive peer alumni network of 500+ of the highest-performing medtech startups around the world. In addition to receiving the above benefits, companies will compete for up to $500,000 in non-dilutive cash prizes. 🎺 Enterprise Ireland and Roche Diagnostics UK & Ireland have joined forces to launch the 2024 Incubator Programme, Driving Innovation in Diagnostic Technologies. The nine-month programme is designed to support the development of groundbreaking diagnostic technologies, which will further foster innovation and strengthen Ireland’s position as a global leader in medical technology. Five Irish companies, including start-ups and spin-offs, will participate in this year's programme, with each offering disruptive innovations in diagnostics that hold the potential to significantly enhance patient care. Participants will benefit from a series of masterclasses aimed at providing essential knowledge across a range of critical areas, from understanding patient pathways to accessing international markets. The incubator will also focus on equipping participants with the skills necessary to navigate the digital health landscape and scale their innovations globally. One of the highlights of the programme is a planned visit to Serosep Ltd.’s laboratory diagnostic manufacturing site, providing participants with a rare opportunity to observe the inner workings of a world-class diagnostics facility. This hands-on experience will allow Irish companies to glean practical insights into the production and operational requirements necessary for scaling their own diagnostic solutions. With over 450 medtech companies, Ireland is the second-largest exporter of medical devices in Europe.
