Meet our second Sister Project! PEER AI. PEER project will address the barriers to accepting AI in sequential decision-making problems by systematically putting the user at the center of the entire AI design, development, deployment, and evaluation pipeline. To do this, PEER will take an interdiciplinary approach that considers both social sciences and artificial intelligence to faciliate a two-way communication flow to enhance user trust. In addition to this, PEER will develop an AI acceptance index for the evaluation of AI systems from a human-centric perspective and will conduct integration and evaluation of these novel approaches in several real-world use cases.
