Being in a major urban area can offer direct access to thriving industries and influential networks. It's fascinating to see how both rural and urban campuses provide unique advantages that can shape your future. What's your take? How do you see location influencing your choice of a #BusinessSchool and your future #career? 🤔 https://lnkd.in/dhyUJar8 #UCLA #UCLAAnderson

For just over 4 years and 8 months, I've been working on a project with my business partner, Victor Brittain-Wong, and our good friends and team of volunteers, Chris Eley, Marietta Birkholtz, Mark Sanger, Noel Robinson FRSL HONS (GMIA), Sandra Carito and Sophia White, over at Kelmscott School in North East London, each year teaching a cohort of 50 students "Practical Success Principles" under our brand International Career & Entrepreneur Events (ICEE) Ltd. It has been an amazing journey, working closely with Chris to ensure we meet all school guidelines, as well as ensuring the content we've produced is of benefit to the students. At first, the students aren't sure what we're on about ... but, as they start to engage with the content, and us, they open up about their dreams and goals, as we take them on a journey of preparing for the world outside of school. As the team is so diverse, not only in our individual education, skillset and experiences, but also our cultural backgrounds, we are able to share broad and varied real-world information, knowledge and experiences that benefits the students, providing them with a toolkit they can refer to as they navigate their futures. We'd love to have more input from the following: - Creative Industries (Theatre, Music, Art, Design, etc.), - Food/Culinary, - Marketing, - Sales, - Finance & Economics, - Sciences, - Business, - Law, - Careers, - HR, - Politics, - Media (Print, Radio, etc.), - Environment, - Medicine, - Engineering, - Technology, - IT, - Entrepreneurs & SMEs, and everything else in between! So, if you're an individual or company based in London, and are interested in helping to shape the lives of the younger generation and would be prepared to offer up a couple of hours of your time a school quarter (!) to volunteer alongside us, please reach out so we can arrange to meet with you and explain in a bit more detail what it is we do and how we do it. Chicago has been voted the Best Big City in the U.S. for 8 years in a row by Condé Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards 2024!🎉 There’s something incredibly special about this city—it’s not just the stunning skyline🤩, the rich culture, or the incredible food😋. It's the people, the sense of community, and the unwavering spirit of innovation and resilience that make Chicago truly shine. As someone who’s fortunate to work for Illinois Institute of Technology (Illinois Tech), I can honestly say that Chicago is more than just a place on the map—it's an experience. And it's this very experience that we pass on to our students. Illinois Tech has consistently been ranked as a Best Value School in the U.S., and it's easy to see why. At Illinois Tech, we’re right in the heart of it all. This city fuels our passion for learning, for doing, and for dreaming big. Whether it’s the hands-on projects our students tackle, the career-shaping connections they make with industry leaders, or the friendships they build across campus and beyond—Chicago is woven into the very fabric of who we are and what we do. For our students, it's not just about getting a degree. It’s about growing, finding themselves, and becoming part of something much bigger. And there's no better backdrop for that journey than this incredible city that has captured our hearts for 8 years running. I feel so proud to see our students thrive in a place that offers them so much, both academically and personally. If you’re considering your next steps, come and be part of this beautiful story—where Illinois Tech and Chicago will welcome you with open arms. #Chicago #IllinoisTech #Education #HigherEd #StudentSuccess #Innovation #Recruitment #CityOfOpportunity #IllinoisInstituteOfTechnology #ChicagoPride #HigherEducation

Here are some key takeaways from a blog post by the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business: ➡️Preparation and Authenticity: Come prepared with knowledge about your own background and what specifically attracts you to the Ross MBA program, but keep the conversation authentic and natural. ➡️Respectful Time Management: Be mindful of the time you spend interacting during admissions events to show your respect for both the committee's time and that of other candidates. ➡️Inquisitive Depth: Stand out by asking specific questions about the aspects of the program that align with your interests, whether it's particular courses, clubs, or faculty members. ➡️Engagement: Fully engage during events, showing genuine interest and attentiveness, whether the event is virtual or in-person. ➡️Broad Interaction: Interact with everyone at events—from admissions officers to alumni—to gain a holistic understanding of the community and network effectively. Embodying these behaviors not only shows your commitment but also helps you ascertain if Michigan Ross is the right fit for you. I'm thrilled to announce that over the past few months, JA's 2023-2024 Company Program is coming to an end! It has been a great journey filled with growth and highlights that will leave a strong imprint on my memories. 🎓 Key Learning Experiences: It began with immersive training to hands-on projects, the program provided a holistic learning experience around the inner workings of a real company. I had an integral role in managing the company's finances which initially brought a few challenges. Ranging from our inept abilities with Excel to financial terminology, we adapted into competent individuals with the help of highly qualified mentors. 🌟 Highlights and Successes: Whether it was reaching 20,000+ views on our social media account or smashing our goal of selling 1000 units, it brought tremendous validation and encouragement to our business. It was truly incredible how we were able to accomplish so much in such a short time. 💼 Overall Impact: I'd like to end this transformative journey with my deep appreciation towards my mentors and organizers of the JA Company Program. I would recommend this side quest for anyone looking for a detour from their conquest with pursuing post-secondary education or career path 🗺 "If you're interested in embarking on your own entrepreneurial journey, consider joining the 2024-2025 Company Program! https://bit.ly/43NgX6b" #JACompanyprogram #JacentralOntario JA Central Ontario

Fueled by renowned academic institutions and a strong job market, Atlanta consistently stands among the top talent hubs in the United States. Eight universities in the metro area appear in the Wall Street Journal/College Pulse Best Colleges in the U.S., and Atlanta generates an unparalleled influx of highly skilled graduates ready to enter the professional arena. Metro Atlanta ranks seventh in JLL’s 2024 U.S. Talent Hub analysis, coming in only behind “Gateway markets” like New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco. The report explores why Atlanta continues to attract and retain high-caliber graduates, making it a prime location for growth. According to a recently released study by Forbes, Atlanta also ranks No. 1 as the most educated city in the U.S., taking into account numerous factors including bachelor’s degree completion rate, number of graduate degrees, and gender and racial gaps in degree attainment. . . . #lawfirmgrowth #lateralhiring #jobsearch #jobopportunities #promotion #law #atlanta #populationgrowth #transactionallaw #georgia #litigation #flexibility #lawfirms #atlantalawyer #legalrecruiting #AtlantaLegalRecruiters #theRMNagency #legalrecruitingfirm #legalrecruiter #legalrecruiters #legalsearch #atlantalegalrecruiters #atlantalawfirms #biglaw #smalllawfirm #inhousecounsel #associate #partner
