Year after year, the Milan Furniture Fair stands as a cornerstone in the design world, and this year, we had the privilege of experiencing it through the eyes of our friend and collaborator, Louis Berger. Attending the Salone del Mobile Milano presents an invaluable opportunity to connect with designers, suppliers, and peers in the industry, while also cultivating new relationships and adding exciting products to our furniture collection. Hosted at the Rho Fiera fairgrounds from April 16-21, this year’s Salone Milano showcased thought-provoking and innovative furniture designs from global designers. Unlike the past editions dominated by earth tones and safe designs, this year’s fair emphasized bold aesthetics, ingenuity, and sustainability, featuring materials that are kind to our planet. Over the next few days, we will share the stunning visuals captured by Louis Berger, highlighting the spectacle of this event and why missing it means missing out on a key fixture in the design calendar if you're not in Italy in April. Documentation was conducted at the following locations and exhibits: ADI Museum - Salone Exhibitions Aesop - Form Follow Formulation Audi - Reflaction BMW - Neue Klasse Bottega Veneta - Cassina x LeCorbusier Dibbern - Showcase 2024 Emeco to Emeco - Special Exhibition Flos - New Products 2024 #design #designeducation #industrialdesign #furniture #salonedelmobile

MDW: Giorgetti opens up new sources of stimulation Contamination, technological research and craftmanship come together in the 2024 Giorgetti collection. Sophisticated designs take into account evolving lifestyles that open up new sources of stimulation and cosmopolitan viewpoints. A celebration of the joy of living and of creativity, from design to art, from sensorial experiences to illustrations is on show at Giorgetti’s Spiga – The Place showroom. In keeping with its roots, Giorgetti widened its scope to encompass a broad horizon that sweeps from East to West and embraces new languages, culture and points of view. This conceptual and literal journey includes new creative collaborations and prestigious openings of flagship showrooms around the world. ‘The 2024 Collection that we are presenting is the culmination of the endless energy that has gone into ensuring that once again we make a tangible statement of the contemporary evolution that our brand has undergone in recent years. An evolution that again starts from materials, some of which are quite unusual for us, and from an ongoing dialogue between technology and craftmanship. As always, this dialogue, along with the combination of materials, expresses the distinctive characteristics of “The Giorgetti Project” which have guided the language of our brand for 126 years, ie quality, a passion for details and sophisticate elegance,’ says Giovanni del Vecchio, Giorgetti Group ceo. The 2024 new products embody this approach and are testimony to the brand’s ability to interpret contemporary needs through a perfect balance between functionality and elegance. The transformation of living spaces into more flexible, multi-tasking places is manifested in collections designed for a range of contexts and requirements, from the warmth of a domestic interior to the restraints of an executive office environment, through to the carefree atmosphere of an al fresco setting. https://lnkd.in/e_dvx_VN #furniture #furnitureindustry #furniturecollection

MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2024 Have you returned from the Milan fair somewhat disappointed? because the big push for innovation didn’t happen and many things caused a "seen before”? Once you start looking at it in a bigger context, it will make better sense. After a brilliant 2018 trade fair, it fell victim to the pandemic in 2020. The 2022 edition then was manageable in terms of visitor and exhibitor numbers. Many decided to not go and wait. This year's edition was the first to feature pre-pandemic conditions and a chance of the designers and companies to show again what had been developed in the last few years. More precise figures and in-depth analysis, an overview of what I saw, context to previous editions and an outlook on possible future innovations in the decor sector will be available in my trade fair report. Happy to send you more information. #salonedelmobile #milandesignweek24 #mdw24 #fuorisalone #alcova2024 #alcova #breradesigndistrict #colourtrends2024 #colortrends2024 #designinspiration #colourinspiration #textureinspiration #decordesign #patterndesign #designinteriors #designtrends #cmf #cmf_design #evahoernischinsights #evahoernischdesign

🌟 Salone del Mobile.Milano 2024: A Review Where Innovation Meets Art 🌟 The curtains have closed on Salone del Mobile.Milano, affirming once again that it's more than just a furniture fair; it’s a celebration of design artistry and a preview of the future of interior design. Here are my thoughts and insights on the standout innovations and creative expressions showcased this year. 🆕 A New Era of Design Philosophy It was evident that many exhibitors are moving beyond merely presenting products. Instead, they focused on the journey behind the design and development of each piece. This deeper engagement with the "why" and "how" provides a fascinating perspective on the objects that enrich our daily lives. 🚘 Automakers Venture into Home Decor Brands like Bentley Genève and BUGATTI showed us how automotive design can inspire exquisite home decor. Their furniture collections not only reflect the elegance and prestige of their vehicles but also the materials and craftsmanship synonymous with their luxury cars. This approach creates a synergistic relationship between their automobiles and living spaces. 🌳 Sustainability Takes Center Stage Sustainability is no longer a trend—it's a necessity. It was impressive to see how traditional production methods are being rethought and redesigned to incorporate more environmentally friendly solutions. Replacing conventional plastics with sustainable materials was a recurring theme, demonstrating the industry's serious commitment to environmental responsibility. 👨🎨 Individuality Remains Supreme Despite the push for greater sustainability and new approaches, the desire for individualization is stronger than ever. Manufacturers like Lapalma Design allow customers to create their unique pieces by combining different modules and colors. This flexibility enhances the bond between product and consumer and fosters user creativity. 🏫 Academic Influences It wasn't just commercial enterprises that made impressive contributions. Academic institutions like Hochschule Pforzheim - Gestaltung, Technik, Wirtschaft und Recht University, led by Elisabeth Klug and her classmates, presented exciting thesis projects focused on sustainable production. Such academic contributions are vital as they provide the theoretical foundations for future sustainable innovations. Salone del Mobile.Milano 2024 was more than just a product exhibition; it was a profound experience that pushes the boundaries of what’s possible and redefines how we think about the spaces we live and work in. I’m excited to see how these new ideas will materialize in the years to come. #SaloneDelMobile #DesignInnovation #Sustainability #InteriorDesign

🛋️ I often get asked by designers and clients about great furniture brands that are also budget-friendly. (And nope, no sponsorships here—just sharing the love! 😄) From Diemmebi’s durable outdoor pieces to Pedrali’s sleek, sustainable designs, this guide highlights 21 of the best Italian brands that won’t blow your budget! 💡🇮🇹 https://lnkd.in/e9VsiisD #BudgetFriendly #ItalianDesign #CommercialFurniture #HospitalityDesign

@studiogonzalobascunan presents #MDW24 - Carding Collectibles- a collection of contemporary furniture and lighting designs objects crafted from recycle cotton. Explores cotton as a recycle material which gives shape to the pieces directly from the material itself, with particular attention to its texture, properties and intrinsic character of eco-conscious design. The installation is conceived around the play of colors which are sometimes linear, soft and organic, always enriched by a circular economy approach. The contrast between the surfaces, the carded finished and the ability to achieve shades with different color gradients contribute to create an aesthetic and formal balance into a maximum maximalismo. When Your Client Knows Too Much ... . . Team, you know the moment. You’re giving your polished pitch in the showroom, showcasing a beautiful piece, and the client interrupts: “Oh, I saw this at Salone del Mobile last year in Hall 5. It was displayed in the central pavilion, with soft amber lighting that really enhanced the stitching detail. By the way, isn’t this the piece the designer conceptualized during their trip to Tuscany while sipping espresso and eating a croissant?” ☕🥐 Wait… what?! Yes, we’ve all met that client - the one who knows so much, and it feels like they’ve been living and breathing the brand. They’re the ones who: 🔍 Memorize every detail from last year’s catalog, down to the millimeter. 🛋️ Casually drop comments like, “This table? Isn’t it available in walnut veneer from the 2021 seasonal collection? The discontinued one?” 💬 Can talk about the designer’s breakfast inspiration while you’re still explaining the chair’s ergonomic design. At first, it’s a bit intimidating and, let’s admit, a lot dramatic. But let’s take a moment to appreciate what’s really happening here. Their passion is our industry’s greatest compliment. When someone walks in knowing “too much,” they’re not just a client; they’re a connoisseur, a fellow enthusiast who shares our obsession with detail, design, and perfection. Yes, it’s funny when they know the lead time off the top of their head (“That’ll be 8-12 weeks, but production slows in August, right?”), or when they quote catalog pages, we forget they existed. But these clients also push us to raise the bar, bringing our expertise to the next level and reminding us why we love what we do. So, next time someone references the exact booth lighting in Milan or the breakfast habits of a designer, don’t panic. Lean into the conversation, embrace the passion, and let’s prove why we’re the best team in the Design District. #LuxuryDesign #DohaDesignDistrict #DubaiDesignDistrict #d3 #InteriorExperts #LuxuryClients #SaloneDelMobile #HighEndFurniture #Craftsmanship #LuxurySales #DesignerLife #ModernLuxury #PassionForDesign
