Through innovative exercises, the VIAVI Solutions team bolstered their communication, collaboration, and problem-solving capabilities. It was a powerful start that laid the foundation for trust and teamwork. • Water Activities: Building on the morning’s collaborative momentum, participants then took to the water for a series of activities. This segment not only provided a refreshing break but also reinforced the team dynamics developed earlier, all in the spirit of fun and camaraderie. • DIY Organic Barbecue Lunch: Culminating the day’s events was our DIY barbecue. IL CAMPO provided local, organic meats, including beef and chicken, for the team to grill. This communal cooking experience was a delightful way for the team to bond over the preparation of a healthy and delicious meal, emphasizing the value of working together towards a common goal. We are proud to have facilitated these activities and to have contributed to a day of significant team development for VIAVI Solutions. Recently I’ve been carefully evaluating Glom’s accomplishments, challenges and setbacks. It is a formal exercise that I not only teach clients to employ buy that I also do at regular intervals to stay in touch with the reality of our operation. Here are a few key reasons it’s a great tool: 1. It allows opportunities to identify blind-spots. 2. It provides perspective and distance for projects of great emotional investment, where objectivity can be difficult. 3. It helps contextualize the relevance of specific operations, offerings and audiences. Consistently re-establishing clarity around mission is very important for sustained motivation, attention and drive. These are vital to organizational health and success. Taking time to acknowledge the totality of your body of work and savoring the value of the entire process is a worthy professional pursuit, instead of simply checking boxes and rushing onto the next thing. This video is a reflection of one such program that Glom Initiatives ®️is super proud of and looking to build on with community partners in the older adult healthcare space. Our Jencare event was a huge success and incredibly well received when we introduced it. We were fortunate to take this event all the way to Hawaii for a wonderful group of seniors. We had to giggle at this! We are clinicians, we know it’s true! That’s why live education either facilitated online or face to face is important. How else do we make sure people learn, understand and retain the SKILLS they should have when they are providing care for people. Knowing that our staff are going to click to the end of the content and google answers for the quiz might hit our “KPIs” for education, but it is not going to change practice or improve outcomes for our clients.
