⭐ 🤔 Perhaps the most surprising takeaway from attending Money 20/20 was witnessing firsthand the growing irrelevance of traditional "big players". As I explored the content and interacted with exhibitors, it became clear that startups and fintechs are disrupting the market in ways that legacy institutions simply can’t match. The old guard—banks and financial giants that once held control—are now struggling to keep pace with the agile innovators who can move faster, experiment more freely, and deliver superior experiences. This was reflected in the exhibitors, speakers and events (in and outside of the conference). The shift is undeniable, and it's exciting to see how emerging players are reshaping the future of payments. As usual, the best part of a conference is seeing friends, old and new! It's these connections and conversations that really make the experience unforgettable. 🕺 Until next year! #Money2020USA #Fintech #Innovation #b4bpayments #diversity #payments #fintechinnovation #paymentstechnology

Can the UK’s fintech success serve as a blueprint for Europe’s other software verticals? Our latest Boardwave Live panel dives deep into the playbook that has made UK fintech the continent's top investment destination, attracting $5 billion last year - more than the rest of Europe combined. Featuring industry heavyweights Joel Perlman of OakNorth, Sujata Bhatia of Monzo Bank, MB Christie of MONY Group plc, and Philip Belamant Zilch, the discussion uncovered the ‘secret sauce’ behind fintech’s rapid growth: forward-thinking regulation, disruptive technologies, collaborative competition, and a thriving talent pool. The big question for the industry as a whole: can we help Europe’s other software sectors replicate this success to scale more unicorns across the continent? Our team had an incredible time at Money20/20 Europe, we connected with global leaders, discussed innovative trends, and celebrated our 10th anniversary! ✨ Our key highlights of the experience: 💳 Ward Hagenaar identified embedded solutions as a significant area of focus. "We need to offer solutions close to where transactions happen, where consumers buy, where they consider paying now or later.” 💬 “The industry is currently facing several challenges, but I believe there are more opportunities than obstacles. One of the key areas is partnership. In our industry, we practice "co-opetition," where competitors collaborate for mutual benefit and the greater good of the sector. Therefore, I see partnering as essential for the future.” Simon Stokes explained. 👉 Jeroen van Dijk said “For most, the value of events like Money20/20 lies in meeting people you work with, especially in an era where we often work together digitally. It's a massive opportunity to meet people you think you know face-to-face and build relationships and trust. First and foremost, it's an excellent opportunity for networking.” 🤝 On the Talent acquisition side, Harrison Williams added: “I think this event is massive for a company like ourselves. It gives us access to world-class clients and allows us to understand businesses on a deeper level, ensuring we find the best possible matches when we go and look for talent.” Thank you, Money20/20, for an unforgettable experience! 🚀 🔗 Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/dHV3d2C2 #EmbeddedFinance #Talent #Fintech #Networking #Innovation #Money2020Europe #PaymentGenes

🟠What an incredible session at #Money2020USA!🟠 Our Co-Founder and CTO, Daniela Binatti, took the stage to share her inspiring journey in the panel, "Trust, belief, and chaos: Lessons from leading a Brazilian Unicorn." In this conversation with Monica Millares, Daniela gave us a look into what it takes to scale a fintech unicorn, from navigating the complexities of rapid growth to driving innovation in an ever-changing market. She spoke about Pismo’s journey, from convincing banks to trust in the cloud to growing our team during challenging times, and even the cultural transformation that allowed us to thrive in a remote-first world. Here are some key takeaways from her session: 1️⃣ The power of difference: “The dilemma is usually ‘should I buy or build a platform’,” Daniela explains. “We offered a different path—a toolkit of APIs that enabled banks to control their destiny.” 2️⃣ Guided by belief: "We are interested in leaving a legacy,” she adds. “Changing the way banks deal with their technology.” 3️⃣ Opening new chapters: “Powered by the acceleration that a company like Visa can provide, we believe we can change the way banks use technology. It’s a new chapter, and just as exciting as the first one.” Thank you to everyone who attended and engaged in this discussion. For those who weren’t able to make it, you can read a summary of the session on our blog: https://lnkd.in/eBQvEEFA If you’re still at Money 20/20, there’s one last chance to visit us in Room 2305 before we ride this wave into the future! 🌊 #Fintech #WomenInTech #DigitalTransformation #Leadership #Pismo
