Did you catch our latest opinion piece? 👩🏻💻 In 'Elevating Women in Leadership: An Allyship Guide for Men,' first published by the Observer, Trish Dyl, Director of Corporate Training at the Catalyst, and Sasha (Aleksandra) Krstic, President of Mastercard Canada, examine the factors that hold women back in the workforce and the solutions for bringing them into the inner circle. Often times, men are painted as the problem, but Dyl and Krstic flip the narrative. To them, men are the most crucial part of the solution. Offering a how-to-guide for male allyship, Dyl and Krstic lay a blueprint for equity at the leadership table, which is the key to solving the toughest and most critical problems in the cyber industry. 🔗 Click here to read the full opinion piece on our website: https://lnkd.in/gPk8nFaQ 🔎 Discover more about Mastercard Emerging Leaders Cyber Initiative (ELCI), designed to empower women and non-binary leaders who are shaping the future of Canadian cybersecurity: https://lnkd.in/gz2Md2CE

An outstanding gathering of cybersecurity leaders! We certainly need more events like this in our industry. When we exclude or marginalize talented individuals based on gender, we limit our collective potential for innovation and progress. It's not just a moral imperative, it's bad business to not adequately recognize and promote the incredible talents of the women leading our field. This board is made of #CISOs that are already inspiring the next generation of women in the field. #Cybersecurity #Equity #Leadership
We are thrilled to honor the visionary CISOs who are spearheading our Inaugural Women's Day on April 16th in Dallas. Their strategic vision and leadership have shaped this event, creating a platform for fostering a strong community, promoting continuous learning, empowering leadership, and driving professional development for the leading women in cybersecurity. #CISOsConnectDallas #WomensDay Anahi Santiago | Heather Hinton | Mandy Andress | Neda Pitt | Patricia Titus | Sheryl Hanchar Aimee Rhodes | David Cass | Kevin McKenzie | Juliana Teibel

This #iwd has been one filled with reflection and gratitude. As I spoke at Cisco’s Women in Cyber event co-hosted with AiSP (Association of Information Security Professionals) at the Cisco Singapore Office attended by Minister Sun Xueling and other incredible women leaders, and as a guest speaker with Zuellig Pharma and World Wide Technology, I was reminded of my journey. I have always believed that with the right environment and culture, every girl and woman can be a leader. Here are some key takeaways for women in the industry that I have found helpful in breaking through the glass ceiling. First, don’t limit yourself. Coming from experience, I think sometimes it’s not necessarily about females lacking any skills but getting them to be confident in their capabilities. My advice to all women is to put your hand up for opportunities, even when you don’t feel 100% ready for it. Second, don’t underestimate the value of mentors, sponsors, and allies. Mentors are so important in giving you a different perspective on things when you feel stuck. Understand that your network is everything in your career. Build strategic relationships with people and find a sponsor that believes in your potential. Know that you don’t have to go through this alone – find allies who are willing to listen and side with you. Third, don’t wait for change. Be the change you want to see. Now as a female leader in tech, it is crucial to lead your own charge on diversity and inclusion. It is elevating female role models and demonstrating that there is a place for women in leadership positions in the industry that we inspire women to join and stay within it. Finally, #inspiringinclusion goes beyond one day in our year. Happy International Women’s Day to all our female warriors out there. I hope we continue to champion and uplift women every day.
