Today we celebrate 5 years of working alongside Scott Burnham. We appreciate your dedication to Aedis and your passion for leaving a #PositiveLastingImpact on our clients and the communities we serve. Thank you for being an excellent Aedisean and cheers to this noteworthy milestone!
April 28 is National Day of Mourning to remember workers who have suffered work-related disability, disease and death
On April 28 - think about:
- Attending a Day of Mourning event in your community
- Updating your health and safety knowledge
- Educate others about health and safety rights, responsibilities and prevention measures
Remember and share our three basic rights as a Worker:
1. The right to know about the hazards we face.
2. The right to participate in eliminating hazards.
3. The right to refuse unsafe work.
451. That's the number of kids under care at CEDARS today. For nearly 80 years CEDARS has been helping kids by providing stability and safety in their darkest hours. Give a listen to my conversation with Jim Blue, President/CEO. Sponsored by our friends at Bison Inc.

🚧 **Attention Jacksonville Community!** 🚧
Hey everyone! 👋 Have you noticed the increasing amount of debris on our roads lately? From tire remnants to construction barricades, it's not just an eyesore – it's a safety hazard for all of us driving through Jacksonville, especially on highways and bridges.
We believe it's time for action! Here's what needs to happen:
1. **Let's Get Organized:** We're calling on the city to form rapid response teams. These heroes could swoop in and clear the debris, keeping our roads safe and smooth.
2. **Your Voice Matters:** We need an easy way for everyone to report road debris. Imagine a simple app or website where you can quickly flag a problem. Let's make it happen!
3. **Spread the Word:** Knowledge is power! Through social media, flyers, or community meetings, educating our friends and neighbors about how to report road debris is key.
4. **Working Together:** Construction companies need to step up and clean up. It's all about accountability and keeping our streets clear.
5. **Regular Check-Ups:** How about more frequent road inspections? Let's catch those hazards before they catch us by surprise.
**Who's Responsible?**
- **Department of Transportation (DOT):** They're the big players for state roads and highways.
- **City Public Works Department:** They handle our city streets and bridges.
- **Law Enforcement:** Our local police can help by reporting and responding to debris.
- **Us, the Community:** Yes, we can volunteer, spread awareness, and help keep our roads clean.
Let's come together as a community to tackle this issue head-on. 🤝 Share your thoughts, tag your friends, and let's start a conversation that leads to real change on our roads. Safe driving starts with us!

Gov. Wes Moore, sadly, another young person lost and another family and school traumatized by senseless violence. Also, sadly, a post I wrote just a day ago became outdated before sunset. I wrote about the 45th school shooting of the year, and now Maryland is home to the 46th. Most won’t read my post but I am hoping that you will. In it, there’s solution.
As veterans, we know that “thoughts and prayers” is not a strategic plan. Neither is hardening of schools a complete plan. That’s a defensive tactic that only addresses the back end of the issue, not the root cause. We need a strategy that will stop these incidents from happening in the first place. That strategy, developed by a team of Marylanders, is outlined in the link and we already have proof that it works to stop violence before it happens. Our work was recognized and supported by Rep Elijah Cummings, Rep Debbie Dingle, and other members of Congress, & was honored by President Biden. It’s time that we spread the L.O.V.E. Is The Answer principles throughout our K-12 schools.
