🚀 Introducing SUPERLASER: Pioneering the future of sustainable lasing with ultra-precise, super-emissive perovskite technology! 🌍🔬   We are excited to announce the launch of SUPERLASER, a research project funded by the European Innovation Council, set to transform the future of laser technology! Coordinated by the NCSR "DEMOKRITOS" in Athens, this groundbreaking initiative brings together a consortium of 9 partners from 7 countries, with a budget of €3.6 million over the next three years.   💡 What makes SUPERLASER unique? Our aim is to create a new type of laser that achieves high performance, unprecedented precision, and environmental sustainability. By leveraging halide perovskite materials, the project will address the limitations of current laser technologies — such as linewidth stability, cost, and environmental impact — with an innovative approach combining new materials, device design, and eco-friendly manufacturing processes.   Dr. Maria Vassilopoulou, Director of Research at the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, emphasises: “SUPERLASER will push the boundaries of laser technology by creating lasers that are powerful, precise, and environmentally sustainable."   🔍 Why is this important? An innovative new device invented by University of Birmingham researcher Jason Stafford can help us to unlock the remarkable potential of 2D materials such as graphene. The platform developed by Dr Stafford is programmable and automated, reducing the time and expertise needed to perform these processes.
