AES Indiana’s Post

We’re proud to announce a major step forward in AES Indiana’s commitment to cleaner, cost-effective energy. Today, the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission has approved our plan to repower Petersburg Units 3 & 4 from coal to natural gas. This decision enables AES Indiana to continue meeting customer needs with a balanced energy portfolio that includes natural gas, wind, solar and energy storage. With this approval, AES Indiana is anticipated to be the first Indiana investor-owned utility out of coal by 2026.
