#MENA Affairs: It is difficult to imagine that it has been almost two years since a series of a Mw 7+ earthquakes struck #Turkey and Northwestern #Syria. What a sad situation for all of those who were impacted by those natural-manmade disasters. Since then, I have contributed some analysis and commentary on the #MiddleEast, North #Africa, and the #Sahel in the public domain. One of the highlights was my BBC News Arabic Investigations interview on what went wrong with the humanitarian response in NW Syria. Another was my #Algeria, #BurkinaFaso, #Chad, #Mali, #Morocco, #Niger, #Senegal, and #Sudan analysis for the Foreign Policy Research Institute.
