GREEN TO RED JOURNEY Chromoplasts contain fat soluble carotenoid pigments and are yellow, orange or red in colour. They are formed either from leucoplast or chloroplasts. schismatoglottis wallichii variegated tissue culture plant avaiable now. Very rare in collections, Schismatoglottis wallichii variegata is a variegated variety of Schismatoglottis wallichii Hook.f. It is a clump- to colony-forming, usually stoloniferous herb, sometimes with individual crowns markedly distant. Stems are hapaxanthic, hypogeal, with up to c. 5 leaves together; leaf blades are very variable in shape, mostly more or less oblong-ovate, occasionally broadly ovate to oblong-lanceolate, the base acute to obtuse, more rarely truncate to cordate. Grey-mold on strawberry is caused by Botrytis cinerea. We set up an experiment with Trichoderma harzianum and Botrytis cinerea to quantify the biological effect of Trichoderma in co-culture using the oCelloScope. To do this we needed to adjust the initial concentration of both Botrytis and Trichoderma conidia to ~2x10E4 conidia/ml. In the past we would count manually using a counting chamber but today we used our new µCount3D automated counter. Both conidia types were counted in the µCount3D. It was easy and beats manual counting by far.
