On World Humanitarian Day, we stand in solidarity with the brave humanitarians on the frontlines in Gaza and across the globe. These individuals work under unimaginable pressures, risking their lives to deliver essential aid, protect human dignity, and bring hope to those caught in the crossfire of conflict and crisis. This year's theme, "Act for Humanity," is a call to action for all of us to support the tireless efforts of those who are on the ground, providing life-saving assistance in some of the most dangerous and challenging environments. In Gaza, where communities face ongoing hardship and uncertainty, humanitarians are a lifeline, offering medical care, food, clean water, and shelter amid chaos. On this day, let's not only honor these heroes but also amplify their voices and advocate for their safety. Their work is more than just a job; it’s a mission driven by compassion and a deep-seated belief in the power of humanity. We can all contribute to this mission. By raising awareness, supporting humanitarian organizations, or simply spreading the message of solidarity, we can ensure that those who dedicate their lives to helping others are not alone in their struggle. Today marks 249 days since the beginning of the genocide in Gaza. The humanitarian crisis continues to deepen, with the latest reports highlighting the severe shortages of essential supplies, including food, clean water, and medical care. According to recent news, the situation has worsened with continued blockades and hostilities, making it increasingly difficult for aid organizations to provide much-needed assistance. The United Nations has once again called for an immediate ceasefire to allow humanitarian aid to reach those in desperate need and to protect innocent civilians from further suffering. Despite these efforts, the response from the international community remains insufficient, and the people of Gaza continue to endure unimaginable hardships. As we reflect on this 249th day, it is more important than ever to raise our voices and take action. The ongoing conflict has led to daily struggles for survival for millions of people. By sharing their stories, raising awareness, and supporting humanitarian initiatives, we can contribute to a global movement advocating for peace and justice. Let us stand in solidarity with the people of Gaza. Let’s amplify their voices, share their stories, and work towards a future where peace, dignity, and human rights are upheld for all. 🔴 Join hands to save my family in Gaza, Your donation makes a difference || https://lnkd.in/dWEY8_kC #Gaza #HumanRights #Peace #Justice #Solidarity #HumanitarianCrisis #Advocacy #GlobalAwareness #Genocide #UN #HealthcareCrisis

Famine is looming in Sudan, with over 700,000 children under-5 at risk of dying. During his interview with Al Jazeera Media Network, Our Interim National Director John Paul T Makoni highlighted about the impact of the ongoing conflict in Sudan on children and their families and the need for humanitarian assistance. The conflict has made it extremely challenging to access the regions that desperately need aid. We are calling for unhindered humanitarian access to ensure that vital resources can reach those affected. #SudanCrisis #HumanitarianCrisis #EmergencyRelief #SDG2 Watch the interview.

All eyes on, and prayers for, Rafah. I’ve never felt so helpless, so angry, and so afraid for the people on the ground. 🔴 The IDF expands the humanitarian zone in Al-Mawasi and calls on the Palestinian civilian population to temporarily evacuate from the eastern neighborhoods of the Rafah area to the expanded humanitarian zone ⭕️ The IDF expands the humanitarian area in Al-Mawasi, which includes field hospitals, tents, and large quantities of food, water, medicine, and other supplies. The IDF, in cooperation with some international organizations and other countries, also allows the expansion of the humanitarian aid that is brought into the Strip. ⭕️ Based on the approval of the political level, the IDF calls on the civilian population under Hamas control to temporarily evacuate from the eastern neighborhoods of the Rafah area to the expanded humanitarian zone. This process will proceed gradually based on an ongoing situational assessment that will take place throughout. ⭕️ The IDF calls on Gazans in the eastern neighborhoods of Rafah to move to the expanded humanitarian areas, within which leaflets will be distributed, SMS messages and phone calls will be sent, as well as information will be broadcast through Arab media. ⭕️ The IDF will continue to work to achieve the goals of the war, including dismantling Hamas and returning all the kidnapped people. #Rafah #homeeducator #homeeducationuk #homeeducationlookslikethis #autismfamily #freefreepalestine #🍉 #freegaza #palestine🇵🇸 #palestineupdate #openrafahborder #humanrightsactivist #humanrightsdefenders #momssupportingmoms #nycmom #writerscommunityofinstagram

This is the largest #humanitarian crisis you've probably never heard of. I've worked on it for the past four years with an excellent team across its vast geography; we're one of many. We've been scaling up but are still overwhelmed, underfunded, and, yes, exhausted. Your understanding and support mean a lot to us. The scale of suffering here in #Sudan is obscene - more than 10 million people displaced and 25 million food insecure. The civilians here deserve none of it, and often, it feels like they are suffering alone. Their plight hasn't captured global interest, unlike the situation in Ukraine or Gaza. It's a privilege to lead our team here. We've already provided humanitarian relief in different ways to over half a million people in Sudan this year. Some of our larger projects are about to come live now, too. With Sudanese organisations and locally led efforts, I'm hopeful we can bring more respite to hundreds of thousands more people before the year's up. But aside from #leadership and management accountabilities, I've always felt that we also have a duty to speak - to speak up and out, to talk truth to power, and to advocate with all stakeholders that can shift the needle on human suffering. So, it was a privilege to speak with the Amanpour show on CNN this week and on Al Jazeera's Inside Story, trying to raise the humanitarian profile of what is happening inside Sudan. I would love for everyone reading this to research what's happening here and, in their own ways, share it with people who might also care. Your support can make a significant difference. https://lnkd.in/epVRAH6G Sudan is a neglected crisis—it receives disproportionately little attention. There are many others, too—our organisation puts a list together every year, and you can find out about the others here: https://lnkd.in/eRK_STQ2

The situation in Jabalia, Gaza, is beyond devastating. Innocent lives are being torn apart as the ongoing conflict continues to claim more victims. Families are struggling to find the basic necessities for survival – water, food, medical care – as the destruction of homes and infrastructure pushes thousands into overcrowded shelters. The human toll is immeasurable. People are enduring unimaginable pain, loss, and displacement, while humanitarian access remains restricted. Children are growing up amid trauma and fear, and the future looks uncertain for an entire generation. We urgently need the world’s attention and action. The resilience of the people in Gaza is astounding, but they cannot carry this burden alone. Now, more than ever, we must raise awareness and advocate for peace, humanitarian aid, and a lasting resolution. #GazaUnderAttack #HumanRights #Jabalia #PeaceForGaza #HumanitarianCrisis
