Today marks the third anniversary of the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU). For me, this also marks two years of being part of this incredible journey—contributing to strengthen Europe’s #bioeconomy and dedicating my efforts and expertise to making it more competitive, circular, and collaborative. It's time to celebrate, but also to reflect. We need stronger investment in #innovation and we need that #collaborative research is well funded, well considered and at the center of a harmonized political agenda - where funding goes hand in hand with regulation - if we want that Europe will have continue to have a bright future in a world that is getting more complex and more endangered by a multitude of externalities. November is as hot as ever - it's evaluation period for our programme, and much is happening behind the scenes to continue selecting the best projects and the most innovative and impactful solutions. Over the past two years, we’ve already funded two waves of innovative, collaborative, and forward-thinking projects. In total, 51 projects have been supported, addressing the urgent need to develop, scale, and deploy #biobased solutions across various TRL levels, industrial sectors, and countries.
