During the last two days Voltalis was kindly invited to participate in the OpenADR Users' Conference, hosted by DESNZ in London. Thanks again to Rolf Bienert and the team at OpenADR and DESNZ for hosting. We were at this conference to continue engaging with DESNZ, NESO, National Grid, ENA, OpenADR and other colleagues on the development of interoperability standards for demand-side flexibility. Voltalis is excited about participating in the new UK flexibility markets. We want to help the UK meet the challenge of implementing 10-12 GW of flexible demand per year by 2030 so that it can meet its goal of providing over 70% of electricity from renewable energy by 2035. For us, one of key to do so, is to have the ability to ensure full comfort and convenience for consumers while also providing high reliability of demand side flex to the power markets. Any future standard must be designed with these priorities in mind.
