When Boom Supersonic was first funded in 2017, the plane was expected to enter service in 2023, last year...
The XB-1 demonstrator, something Burt Rutan could have build in his garage, was first planned to fly in 2017. It just flew in march this year, and at a speed comparable to current general aviation propeller planes.
Do people really think Boom Supersonic can realistically build the supersonic plane and get it through a certification process for civil aviation and in passenger service in the next five years, as is their latest schedule?
And even if they continue to kick the can down the road (as is their business model), will it make sense in the 2030's to scream brutally through the atmosphere instead of going above it? New VTOL rocket technology could get you on the other side of the plane through the vacuum of space in one hour.
When will this investor scam end?
