“We learned to celebrate the small wins as much as we did the big ones, and in the early days, celebrating the small wins certainly kept us going, but the bigger milestones we’ve crossed are probably the ones I remember the most. The day we registered our business. The day we launched our website. The day of our launch party. The moment we got our first paying subscriber. The day we moved into our first office. Looking back, though, I think my absolute favorite memory was the first time someone wrote in to tell us how #AislePlanner changed their business and, effectively, their life, for the better." - Rob and Tina, Aisle Planner Founders. #EventTechnology #EventProfessionals #EventManagement

When someone in my network asks for advice about starting their own PR or video production business, I usually start with the (ugly) hard truth: ◾ You will face rejection often. ◾ You will be ghosted more times than you can count. ◾ You will experience a new level of stress, often for long periods of time. ◾ You will encounter disappointment that will challenge your resolve. Owning and running a small business in the PR world is not for the faint of heart. The journey is tough, yet as we approach our 20th anniversary, I can confidently say that starting this business was the best decision I ever made. If you're ready to embrace the highs and lows, take the leap. It’s worth it. #satellitemediatours #videoproduction #smallbusiness

“It’s a lot really, isn’t it.” ☕️ I met with my client, H, a few weeks back and we got to talking about ‘all the things’ that are going on in her business right now. She described so many things - both big and small - and rounded out with... “Well, it’s quite a lot really, isn’t it.” 😓 She was overwhelmed by it all. All of this -stuff- that was on her table, built up over time. Most of it was, too, not there on purpose! It sort of … found its way into what she was doing and got its hooks in. Now all she had was a table covered in stuff that she had to pick through. To make it all a bit more manageable, I asked her to think of all this -stuff- as much smaller things; as a jar of marbles! (Because we all feel like we’re losing -them- sometimes!) 👉 Here’s the thing. When you have a jar that’s full of big AND small marbles, the small ones fill all the gaps; they take up way too much space and it makes it really hard to get at the big ones. What we need to do is to filter out all of those small things, setting them aside, so we can see what really needs our attention. The big stuff. The shiniest, prettiest, most impactful things. I asked H to pick through her lists and lists of -stuff- and find those big marbles. She had 2 or 3 big things which made such an impact and the other things … they fit into other places when she wants to put them there. 💡 I’d like to do the same for you; helping you sort your marbles so everything - life, work, all the other things - feels just that bit easier. Drop me a DM with MARBLES and I'll share how we can work together. I've got 3 spaces for new 1:1 clients before September and I'd love you to fill one of them. ********** Posted | Monday 1st July 2024 Photo | A bag of marbles spilling on to a surface

Most solo founders are running on fumes. They’re juggling client work, admin, marketing and learning every strategy they can. My client Steph was like that... And she was only making 3-figures because of it. In this video, I share Steph's story, a solo founder who scaled her business to 5-figures every month. If you're feeling stuck, watch until the end.

Every event has a story to tell, but if we can't measure its impact, how do we justify its value? It's not just about filling seats—it's about proving that every dollar spent brings a return. When your event aligns with your company’s strategic goals, ROI isn’t just a number; it’s a narrative of success that resonates long after the event ends. #TheEventNarrative #EventPlanner #BlackOwnedBusiness #WomanOwnedBusiness

Jett speaks the truth! 2 days ago, we saved one user $34,200 on their AutoCamp buyout for 40 ppl. For groups of 100+, savings are in the 6-figures. All bc the new Offsite marketplace is "looking absolutely fire"... See for yourself! The link in the comments is to our #ProductHunt launch, and we'd love your support TODAY, so we can help as many companies as possible save time, money, and stress when planning team retreats. New users via PH will get $200 towards their first booking (in March) for even more savings. It's never been easier to plan an #offsite, #teamretreat, or #conference (there's a 500 person conference using our marketplace right now to find the best deals on their future venue!). Check it out (link in comments). Then, like/comment/repost! 🚀
