You know that moment when you take those first few steps into a new project and suddenly get that “oh shit, do I even know what I’m doing” feeling? I’m in that moment right now. Two stories into this, my third posted today with 13 more in the can ready to go, and the nerves are kicking in with a force. It’s a weird feeling, sharing yourself with the world. But I know how powerful hearing other people’s stories has been for me at different moments of my life when I’ve needed to feel less alone in my journey, and I’m grateful to be in a position now to give that back through sharing my own stories. My only metric of success for this project is that I hit publish 16 times without losing my nerve. 3 down, 13 to go. This one is for all those aspiring entrepreneurs out there in the process of navigating their own path into the startup world. Particularly those who feel like outsiders wondering where they belong. This is the story of how I made the transition from politics to startups. There are no straight lines in this story, it was a rollercoaster from start to finish, and requires two parts to tell it fully. This story is called “Experiencing Entrepreneurship (Part 1)”.
