https://lnkd.in/ I share your shock and disappointment at the potential end of the Golden Visa program in Spain. As you rightly pointed out, this program has been instrumental in attracting high-value investors who contribute significantly to the economy, create jobs, and enrich communities. These investors, often families seeking stability and permanence, have been vital in revitalizing areas and fostering growth. The rationale provided by the government for this decision appears misguided and simplistic. While ensuring access to affordable housing is undoubtedly crucial, the proposed measure seems unlikely to address the underlying issues effectively. It's baffling that, despite promises, social housing initiatives have seen minimal progress over the years. Where are the promised housing units? What concrete steps have been taken to address the housing crisis? Furthermore, the timing of this announcement amidst election campaigns raises questions about its true motivations and lack of supporting evidence. Such decisions carry significant consequences and should be based on thorough analysis and consideration. In the face of uncertainties, it's imperative for the government to provide clarity on other pressing housing issues, such as the management of Bank Asset Funds (FABs), taxation policies for real estate entities like SOCIMIS and SICAVs, and measures to curb rising rents. I join you in hoping that there's a last-minute reconsideration of this decision. It's not uncommon for policies to evolve based on feedback and changing circumstances.

Completely in utterly ridiculous. The socialist government is beyond incompetent and most of these politicians are morons and corrupt. Yeah, right, terminating the GoldenVisa program will create affordable housing. What Planet do these politicians live on, the planet called cuckooland
