Alephium’s Post

Roadmap to Danube, Alephium’s next Network Upgrade It has been nearly three years since Alephium’s mainnet launch, a period marked by steady evolution and growth. With past upgrades Leman (March 2023) and Rhone (June 2024), the protocol has come a long way: Alephium’s virtual machine is now even more featureful, secure & dev-friendly, while BlockFlow algorithm has grown both more resilient and accessible. The foundation we’ve laid down is solid, thanks to the hard work of the core contributors & the support of the growing & active community. And it shows! The number of ecosystem projects, dapps, tools, users & addresses is steadily growing, as is hashrate and interest from partners in our common infrastructure. The Danube Network Upgrade Thanks to all of you for helping us choose the name of the second-longest river in Europe, connecting west and east, from the black forest to the black sea. It’s been one of the most important natural infrastructures of Europe for the past millennia, and it will show to be as important for Alephium, its builders & users over the coming years. Now that the core stack has matured, we are ready to push forward on robustness and performance, taking the protocol to mass-adoption levels. This is the core purpose of the Danube network upgrade, aimed at refining both the structural and user-focused aspects of the protocol. This is an early version of what’s included in the network upgrade roadmap. This is what we’re already working on. As time goes by, some additional features may be added, while others might roll out in future updates if this upgrade’s scope becomes too large. Read more about it here: https://lnkd.in/eRu6-G-9
