Our Senior Green Hydrogen Manager, Javier Salgado González, will be attending this week's eagerly anticipated European Hydrogen Week at the Brussels Expo. Javier is keen to discuss the significant role of green hydrogen in the decarbonization pathway with key industry policy-makers, academia and stakeholders from across the entire hydrogen value chain. Here's what Javier said ahead of the event, "At Renewco Power we continue to make good progress in developing our green hydrogen production projects in Spain based on a clear strategy; meeting the needs of local industry while also focusing on the production of derivatives for export and consumption in other European markets. Besides our gH2 activities in the Spanish market, we are also keen to explore opportunities in the UK, US, Italy and Poland, where we can leverage our strong renewable greenfield development capabilities. The Belgian Hydrogen Council (BHC), #NLHydrogen (NLH), and the German National Hydrogen Council (Nationaler Wasserstoffrat, NWR) have joined forces to accelerate the hydrogen economy in the North-West region of Europe.   We are thrilled to announce the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) today, solidifying our commitment to collaboration and innovation in the hydrogen sector.   This landmark agreement establishes a platform for cooperation among industry leaders, government bodies, universities, research institutes, and civil society. Together, we will spearhead initiatives to drive forward the adoption of hydrogen technologies and promote sustainability throughout our region. We are excited to embark on this journey together, working hand in hand to shape the future of the hydrogen economy in North-West Europe.   How will the European industry benefit from this collaboration? It will yield benefits for the market, technology development, policy frameworks, and stakeholder engagement. [EVENT] EU Hydrogen Week visitors are offered an augmented reality tour to Vallourec’s large-scale hydrogen storage technology demonstrator The 2024 European Hydrogen Week, co-organized by the European Commission, Hydrogen Europe, and the Clean Hydrogen Partnership, brings together stakeholders[1] from across the value chain, some 800 organisations and 8,000 professionals. This event covers a wide range of topics in the hydrogen sector, including policy, business, technology, research, and finance. Directly at the event, Vallourec takes the participants on a 3D tour to demonstrate its fully-functioning large-scale[2] small-footprint hydrogen storage technology. The attendees willing to take part and to discover how 10s or 100s of tons of compressed hydrogen can be safely stored in a small-footprint nearly-invisible installation should reach out to Katrine Hagège to arrange the demonstrator visit.
