Sora is an AI model that can create realistic and imaginative scenes from text instructions. The text-to-video model Sora can generate videos up to a minute long while maintaining visual quality and adherence to the user’s prompt.
And now, the first short films are released and I think it is incredible. Here is one of my favorites “Air Head” Worlds First AI Generated Short Film using SORA by OpenAI - Shy Kids.

🌌 🚀 OpenAI's Sora Unveiled - Mind-blowing!! 🤖 🌌
🎬 The Dawn of AI-Generated Films
#OpenAI just released more short films created using its text-to-video tool, Sora. Described as “totally surreal” by filmmakers, Sora's unveiling marks a significant moment in the fusion of technology and creativity. Multi-disciplinary artist Paul Trillo commented on the liberation Sora brings to filmmaking, allowing concepts to be realized without the constraints of time, money, or skillset.
❗ The Flip Side: A Pandora's Box?
However, Sora's launch isn't without its controversies. The tool's ability to generate hyper-realistic videos blurs the line between fact and fiction. This will challenge our trust in visual media. The tools potential for creating deepfake videos and spreading misinformation raises critical ethical and societal questions. We should really consider the ease with which high-quality videos can be produced and consider the implications, especially in sensitive areas like data privacy and ethics violations.

OpenAI has shared the first short films created with #Sora, (their text-to-video transformation technology). 😎🎬 For these initial productions, they've granted exclusive access to several artists and filmmakers to showcase Sora's creative potential (#ShyKids or Alexander Reben).
Now, my feelings boil down to three points:
📌 Admiration for this new tool.
📌 Questions about the audiovisual production ecosystem.
📌 Concerns about the risks posed by the creation of fake content.
Regarding my last consideration, #OpenAI is addressing this by developing tools to identify Sora-generated content that may be misleading. ✅
Sora is not yet available to the public, but judging by its initial capabilities, I believe there's clear excitement about its ability to transform text into video.
Check 'Air head', one of the first short films made using #Sora. 🎈

This short film was created only using AI -thanks for sharing, Axel! OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT, has unveiled the first short films created using SORA AI, its video AI tool. As filmmakers, we must fight the fear of embracing this new technology in our workflows. In the same way that we don't cut pieces of film and ensemble them together anymore, this tool will facilitate our processes and boost our creativity. I am already applying AI to improve the organisation of my footage and project files (naming, storage, backups, etc.). And you? Are you already using AI to save time? 🚀

Ever wanted to learn about how AI is evolving the production space?
As part of the Film Summit, San Diego Media Pros asked me to introduce the "Using AI to Level Up Your Production & Editing" presentation with David Newman of GoPro and Eric Addison of 100 Acre Films.
David discusses how he used AI to create his short film, "Whispers of the Night Market," and Eric gives an overview of the latest Adobe tools that use AI to make post-production more efficient. If you are in the industry, you'll want to watch this: https://lnkd.in/g4xDMNyr

Okay, this is a must for everyone - no matter if you are fascinated by the power of #AI.
Just a couple of weeks ago, SORA AI was announced as the new text to video tool from OpenAI Sora generates videos up to a minute long, maintaining high visual quality and closely following the user's prompts.
Now the first #examples are out and just watching the first of them, the short film "Air heads" by a multimedia company shy kids based in Toronto, is mindblowing.
And it shows the ability to create new and totally fictional worlds based on nothing but a creative #idea and great #prompts. What do you think?

🎬 My First AI Short Film: Diving Into the Technical Side with CapCut 🎬
This past Sunday, I stepped out of my comfort zone and entered my first AI short film competition! Although horror isn’t the type of film I usually watch or create, I took this as a perfect opportunity to try something new and challenge myself.
One key area I focused on was using CapCut to create an eerie, gloomy atmosphere for the film. Since the storyline alternates between the main character’s dialogue and her memories of the past, I needed a clear transition to distinguish these moments visually.
Here’s how I did it:
🔹 Sepia Filter: I used the sepia filter to give the flashbacks a nostalgic, yet unsettling vibe. This filter in CapCut adds a warm, brownish tone to the footage, instantly signaling that the scene is set in the past. It helped reinforce the idea of memories without using heavy visual effects.
🔹 Transitions: I used two different transitions to create a distinct shift between the present and the memories:
Black Fade: After the main character finished talking in the present, I used a black fade transition to signify the end of the moment, giving the scene a somber, fading-out effect before moving into her memories.
Blur: When transitioning out of her memories and back to the present, I used a blur transition to capture the sense of disorientation as the past fades and the story shifts back to reality.
These techniques helped build the gloomy atmosphere I wanted for the film and subtly yet effectively distinguish between past and present.
It was a fun learning experience working with CapCut’s tools and exploring new ways to tell a story visually.
✨ If you’d like to watch the film, here’s the link: https://lnkd.in/ge94zMJp
✨ What about you? Have you used CapCut for any creative projects?
I’d love to hear what techniques or tricks you’ve learned!
I look forward to working on more AI films and discovering new creative approaches with each project!

Do you want to see My First AI-Generated Film! If so I would love your help and your vote!
I'm thrilled to share that I've created my very first AI-generated short film, and it's a spooky Halloween stunner called "The Last Trick"! 🎃
This 2.5-minute film is a mind-bending film that blends classic Halloween imagery with reality-warping surreal elements.
What makes this film extra special is that it was entirely created using AI technology – I wrote the script, but the visuals, music, and voices were all generated by artificial intelligence. I then took those AI-created assets and assembled them into a cohesive short film.
"The Last Trick" is an official entry in the Curious Refuge AI Horror Film Competition! 🎬
If you have 2.5 minutes to spare, I'd be eternally grateful if you'd check out the film and consider giving it a vote. Your support would mean the world to me as I take my first steps into the world of AI filmmaking.
Plus, if you enjoy the film, I'd be thankful for your kindness if you could share it with your friends and followers. That kind of word-of-mouth boost would be simply amazing.
So what do you say - wanna see my first AI-created film?

Thanks so much, and Happy Halloween! 🎃
